·2 years agoThis is a terrible glitch. I hadn't sold on eBay in quite some time. I was surprised by how convoluted their new system is for sellers. In the past, as soon as someone made a purchase, the funds were immediately in my PayPal account, and I can use those funds to not only pay for shipping, but for shipping materials.
At any rate, the only way I'm able to use Express payout is by going to my desktop computer and choosing it there. Works like a charm. On my mobile device, the total remains grayed out.
If you don't have a desktop computer, my suggestion is to try to bring up eBay on the Chrome browser. Then, choose desktop site. That way, eBay will think you're using a desktop computer. You should be able to use Express payout then.

·3 years agoEbay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

They are as follows:
Daily
Weekly -on tuesdays
Bi Weekly -every other tuesday
Monthly
If you selected anything other than Daily the payout request will be greyed out.
