Request Buyer didn't receive item per tracking it was picked up at post office with signature
Hello. I sold expensive sunglasses $800. Shipped with Priority mail + signature. Monday morning checked Buyer picked up at post office. On Tuesday I received request Buyer didn’t receive item “was attempt for delivery no one was home then I requested redelivery they didn’t deliver but it was marked as deliveredâ€
I emailed buyer what per tracking number it was picked up at post office and signed. Also, I requested proof of signature from usps. Also, I contacted EBay and wanted to check what is my next step.
What is my next step? Should I do Ebay step in to solve it? Should I wait? It doesn’t feel right if buyer ask Ebay step in first. Any suggestions?
Also, how many disputes/requests can buyer open on one order. I think after this one they will try something yes we received it, item as not described dispute.
Thank you

OP2 years agoEbay closed the Buyer request in my favor. I see Buyer left negative feedback, but I can not find it. Thank you everyone for your help.

·2 years agoeBay automatically removes it once the request it closed in your favor. Seems they did it quite quickly this time!

OP2 years agoSo I don't need to ask Ebay to step in? Just wait? It says resolve by April 6.
Buyer replied to my message He doesn't know who picked it up.
Thank you

·2 years ago...which is nonsense because the PO asks for ID when you go to collect a package.
If a claim has been opened then reply to that by uploading your tracking number. Do not ask Ebay to 'step in' because that does not help the seller in any way. That is usually done by the buyer if the seller is being nonresponsive. You told us that your tracking shows delivery with a signature so you should be good. (It does not matter how legible the signature is. The main thing is that you must use Signature Confirmation for a sale of $750 or more and you did.)

OP2 years agoRequest, not a dispute - Item not received. Reason:The buyer reported their item hasn't arrived.

·2 years agoDon't communicate with the buyer.
Wait to see if the buyer files a INR (item not received) case.
If they do, simply respond to the case with the tracking number that shows the item was picked up.
In a few days you should with the case. No refund.

·2 years agoI see the word "dispute"....might be a credit card dispute which seller should respond...but alas, sometimes we never get a response back from a posting here.

·2 years agoA buyer can do and say anything. And buyer is hoping you do nothing.
I have a buyer ask for a refund after 260 days for a purchase. eBay allows buyers to open such claims
Of course, I won, it was a bank dispute as well which can be hard to fight.
Tracking is important to enter again in eBay open dispute.
I am hoping this is not a "dispute with the buyer's credit card banking source". Come back to us and let us know. eBay and a bank dispute are two different problems that can be solved.

·2 years agoIf it's an Item Not Received claim, add your 'Delivered' Tracking information. You'll win that case. Good luck.
