Reprint of a label has changed - Heads up
This may be old news, as I rarely have occasion to Reprint a label, but the process has changed since I last did it & it's somewhat confusing b/c the help pages don't match & the Reprint option is gone.
From SH>Orders>Shipping Labels now has different Action choices:
Note that Reprint a Label is GONE! Which sent me to Help screen, which all tell me to select "Reprint a Label". So I had to guess & I tried "Get another Label" but that is to purchase another label. Apparently I now have to Select "Download label" in order to simply Reprint it.
IDK when this changed or why it's harder & why I have to do more steps to Download a label, when I simply want to Reprint it. Just an FYI, a couple more screens & clicks but mainly so you know what option to choose.

·1 year agoIt used to only allow that option for 24 hours, I don't know how it works now but best set your printer to save all your tasks.

·1 year agoeven easier for me. I get an email when I buy a label on eBay. On that email all I have to do is click on the "PDF"

OP1 year ago@buyselljack2016 Good to know. I have never once opened those emails, but you are correct, the link is there & it presumably works. No idea why it's also still called Reprint there. The only place it's not called Reprint is on the screen I always go to, to reprint & the one that the Help pages send you to.

OP1 year agoI believe it was not 24 hours, but it was avl as long as you hadn't shipped it yet. I could be wrong on that.
However, my attempt was 2 seconds later. Which is the most common situation, either a printer problem or in my case, I had forgotten to put label paper in the printer, so my Reprint attempt was literally the time it took for me to reach into the label drawer (I don't even have to get up) & put it in my printer LOL. It was not a time issue.

·1 year agoIf I need to reprint I select buy another label and use the reprint label link from that page. There's a big warning box at the top of the page saying you already bought a label with the reprint link.

OP1 year ago@toysaver I wouldn't call that a "big warning box", I didn't even see it when I accidentally clicked in there & it took me awhile to find now, but you are correct that it does APPEAR that that is still valid & working, so thank you for that!
If we can still do it & it's called Reprint on that screen & all the Help pages use the term "Reprint", it kind of begs the question of why the wording was changed.

OP1 year agoAnd that's fine, it's good to know about other ways, but that is NOT the way I was doing it. I was doing it the way the Help pages reccomend you do it & the way I've done it for ages. I don't recall the Help pages giving the other options mentioned here, so they are still wrong for the current screen.

Oh, great … like you, I don’t have to reprint often but when I have in the past, it was so simple. Why change this? Just why? Seriously ridiculous change.
Murphys law, you know now tomorrow I’ll suddenly have to reprint some label, but thanks to your post, I’ll know what’s up and how to handle it!
