Repeated Failure to Remove Abusive Feedbacks Despite Multiple Written Confirmation
Dear eBay Customer Service Team,
I am following up on my ongoing appeal regarding the multiple abusive negative feedbacks left by buyer "[Removed by moderator]" and am now demanding immediate escalation and resolution.
Over the past month, I have contacted eBay support multiple times. Five different eBay employees have reviewed this case independently, confirmed in writing that the feedbacks clearly violate eBay's Feedback Policy and Abusive Buyer Policy (including prohibitions on personal attacks, slander, threats, and unrelated comments), and explicitly assured me that the feedbacks would be removed. Despite these repeated written confirmations, no action has been taken. This ongoing failure is unacceptable and causes severe, ongoing damage to my long-standing 100% positive reputation and my legitimate business.
The feedbacks in question include:
- "liar and thief" (repeated across multiple transactions, including item numbers #185806348357 and #185806348370)
These are pure personal attacks with no relation to the transactions.
Additionally, the buyer’s private messages contain:
- Direct threats → "I will report you to Ebay with a copy of all our messages."
- Offensive and abusive language → "Shame on YOU, not ME!", accusations of being "shallow", and claims of deliberate deceit.
- Serious defamatory accusations → References to "money laundering" being illegal – completely unfounded and unrelated to any eBay transaction.
These actions unequivocally violate eBay’s policies on feedback, threats, offensive language, and member behavior.
For context (not justification): The transactions could not proceed due to external postal restrictions from 2025 US de minimis rule changes, which suspended many EU-to-USA shipments. I issued full refunds immediately, yet the buyer escalated with abuse.
I have replied politely to the feedbacks and attempted constructive communication, but the buyer has only escalated further.
Given the severity, the multiple written confirmations from your staff, and the clear policy violations, I demand:
- Immediate removal of all abusive feedbacks left by this buyer.
- Review of the buyer’s account for repeated violations of eBay’s member behavior policies.
- Immediate escalation of this case to a Supervisor or Team Manager for manual review and resolution.
- Written confirmation once the actions are completed, including explanation for the previous delays despite staff assurances.
These abusive comments have now been visible for over a month, causing significant harm not only to my legally registered business (for which I pay taxes in Poland) but also to me personally. I have clear, documented evidence – including written confirmations from five separate eBay employees – that eBay is currently failing to execute its own published procedures, despite repeated acknowledgments of the violations.
If these feedbacks are not removed within the next 14 days, I will have no choice but to conclude that eBay is deliberately refusing to enforce its own policies and is actively contributing to ongoing financial and reputational damage. I will then pursue all available avenues to protect my rights and business, including formal complaints to relevant regulatory authorities.
I have always maintained the highest standards as an eBay seller and expect eBay to do the same by protecting sellers from clear abusive behavior. I require your urgent and decisive action.
Thank you for your immediate attention. I expect a response and resolution without further delay.
Best regards, Patrick

The listings that you received negative feedback for have been removed by eBay because of policy violations. That is why the feedbacks are gone, so this is not something to celebrate. You did not win this round.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/185806348357
https://www.ebay.com/itm/185806348370
These policy violations are why you are now permanently suspended from selling on eBay, as shown in the email in your first screenshot:
You also shared another email from eBay, which unfortunately, does have any better news:
Your last screenshot appears to be a message from you to eBay legal. As you were told in the previous email (see above), you need to follow the procedure that was explained there.

OP8 months agoI already stated in my very first post and initial contact with eBay that the feedbacks clearly violated eBay policy. They tried to mislead me by claiming the transaction was older than 120 days and therefore could not be removed. While it is true that the order was over 200 days old, the buyer was still able to leave feedback because the feedback window is 60 days. That detail, however, is not the core issue.
The real problem was that for two months eBay repeatedly refused to remove the feedback despite it being an obvious policy violation. Their support team consistently gave template copy-paste responses and showed no willingness to act.
After eight weeks of this, I involved my lawyer. He advised me that if eBay continued to refuse removal, I should escalate to eBay’s main office to hold the employees accountable for not following their own policies.
The entire situation escalated solely because of unprofessional eBay employees who relied on generic responses. To be clear: I never threatened to take eBay to court. I only informed them that I was prepared to contact their headquarters regarding violations of their own policies. There is a significant difference, and misrepresenting or reframing my words will not hold up in writing.
In the end, I prevailed: my name has been cleared, the feedback was removed, and I no longer care whether I am able to sell on the platform again. The past two years of customer support experiences, culminating in this case, have been extremely negative.
After 20 years as a user—and having earned the Top Rated U.S. Seller badge three times (an achievement reached by only about 1% of sellers worldwide) while living in the EU—I was banned. This speaks volumes.
Great job, eBay. By issuing this ban, you have now given me full justification to contact your headquarters. I reported in good faith a buyer who was abusing policies, attacking sellers through feedback, manipulating reputations, and insulting me in private eBay messages.
If a seller gets banned simply for making such a legitimate report, there is no longer any reason for me to continue doing business on the platform.
One thing is certain: this situation escalated entirely due to eBay employees’ handling of the case, and it will have consequences. I will now contact eBay’s main office and provide all correspondence, including multiple emails in which support representatives explicitly confirmed—more than five times—that the feedbacks violated policy, yet still gave contradictory answers and refused to act.
The outcome proves I was right and handled the matter correctly.
It is ironic that you continue to attack me over feedback that was proven false, while still insisting I am the one in the wrong.

OP8 months agoDear eBay Customer Service Team,
Thank you for your response and for previously removing the comment text from the feedback entries.
However, this action has now left three completely blank negative ratings (showing only "---" with no comment whatsoever) from the buyer ...... These empty negative ratings provide absolutely no information to future buyers and are now purely meaningless content – which directly violates eBay's own Feedback Policy.
Critical reference to eBay's official Feedback Policy: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-policies/feedback-policy?id=4208
The policy explicitly states that eBay will remove feedback containing:
It further clarifies:
Since the comments have already been removed (leaving only blank, meaningless negative ratings), the entire feedback entries – including the ratings themselves – now clearly qualify for full removal under this exact rule.
Additionally, these feedback entries stem from transactions that were canceled and never completed (not due to any fault on my part). The policy also covers removal of negative feedback in such cases, including when the buyer requested cancellation or did not pay.
The three feedback entries in question (all from buyer ) are tied to:
As these are over 90 days old and canceled, detailed order information is no longer visible (as noted in the feedback view), but the item numbers and buyer username should be fully sufficient for your internal systems to locate and review them.
I have been a loyal eBay seller for 18 years with an excellent track record. In past identical situations, eBay has fully removed similar policy-violating feedback without issue. Retaining these empty negative ratings causes ongoing and provable damage to my business and reputation.
I kindly but firmly request:
I remain available for a direct phone call to resolve this quickly and fairly.
Thank you for your immediate attention and for applying eBay's own rules consistently.
Best regards,
Patrick

OP8 months agoI don't know what's going on at eBay, but one thing is certain: it's a circus. I've never encountered anything so absurd before.
eBay has repeatedly confirmed that this is a violation of the platform's legal policy and that it will remove the comments.
Look what happened, it's like some kind of crazy jokes.

OP8 months agoIt takes 10 weeks to be honest. economic shipping fraighter is the way I make deals. The reaso nis high costs for shipping. Airplane 10kg is 150$, so this price is not relative for me to make deals with anyone by charging so high when I can ship them in cargo coontainers for 80% less costs.
Overtakign narration without knowing anybody is very dangeraus ind risky.
Have no idea why You try to put me on the dark spot, but You know life is not perfect and I have no clue why it shows "Located in: Warszawa, MAZOWIECKIE, United States" when I am an registered bussiness accaunt at eBay. ·8 months agoAccording to the second email shared above (see transcription below), there may have been some BBE (Bad Buyer Experience) as well, and the negative feedbacks may have been part of that.
Here is a link to the BBE policy. Note that this policy is completely objective, it looks at the number of non-compliant transactions not considering the reasons behind them, and there is no appeal or review of the BBE policy. The BBE evaluation is completely automatic, based on the number of non-compliant transactions.

·8 months ago"So please provide me with the solution as it is written down in the eBay policys."
If you filed for an appeal and Ebay determined that they will not remove it then there is nothing that will be done. Listen I understand that the feedback upsets you and you want it removed but you need to move on from the feedback and continue your sales. You had a chance to reply to the feedback and give a polite response to that feedback. Majority of buyers will overlook the feedback and view it as a upset person. When they say "Liar and Thief" that's not really abusive. They are giving an opinion. You could've replied that the feedback is inaccurate and explained what happened.
grann-4629
·8 months agoWhen they say "Liar and Thief" that's not really abusive. They are giving an opinion
So, if I said that about you, would it still be just an opinion?
If I called Trump a lunatic, would that be just an opinion?
Obviously, I disagree with your comment about being called a liar and a thief is just an opinion - it could be considered as libel, which would get the lawyers involved and the whole thing would go to <somewhere> ...
ETA: I am still waiting for a response to post #14 - this is the interesting part.

·8 months agoYou had 3 negative feedback.
Don't why they would remove them after all this time?
pabloscave.shop
OP8 months agoViolation.
This blank negative feedback ("---") provides no information and is "meaningless content". eBay policy states: "We remove all feedback that contains any: Meaningless content..."
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-policies/feedback-policy?id=4208
Transaction was cancelled (not my fault) and never completed – also qualifies for removal.
Policy allows: "Depending on the situation, we may remove the comment, ratings and/or images."
Despite multiple requests, eBay refuses to fully apply its own rules.
The policy says straightforward no empty negative feedbacks or personal insults. They showed double stanradrs and very poor service. No professionalism at all. I reported a buyer for a false feedback and at all the feedbacks as you can see are deleted but I am banned for selling now. CRAZY, 20 years building up reputation and feedbacks so you dont have negative and ending worse.
And I had 4 negative feedbacks at all. One got instantly removed by eBay, but the last 3 was a 2 month fight with a no-reason seller ban now.

The 3 negative feedbacks were for 2 listings (one had two purchases) all purchased by the same buyer.
Both of those listings have been removed by eBay for policy violations. That is why the negative feedbacks were removed.
Pablo is now permanently restricted from selling on eBay, according to the email he shared as a screenshot.
kensgiftshop
·8 months agoThanks, I didn't know they would remove the feedback over a policy violation.
lacemaker3
·8 months agoThey won't remove the feedback *just* over a policy violation.
However, if the listing is removed by eBay, then there is no transaction to tie the feedback to, so it disappears from the feedback display. I have no doubt that it still exists behind the scenes, but only eBay employees can access either the listings or the feedback now.
The record of the transactions associated with the feedback is gone (from public view). The listing still shows up in eBay Marketplace Research, but the last sale is shown as happening in 2024. The recent sales in 2026 are just gone.

OP8 months agoNormaly there is never an issiue with this if violation hits the feedback. They always delete them in 72h.
But this time I hit a different problem, employee issiue that are wrong schooled harming not only me but also ebay itself.
Over the years (20 years) I had maybe 5 max 6 such situations that someone left a very rude or fales feedback and always everything worked fine but not this time. ebay employess totally escaleted the case.
I will contact the main offices now to clarify this. Reporting a violation in good faith and getting banned for it are double standards.

OP8 months agoI am currently trying all channels, technical issues are getting worse every year, this year is a total disaster, agents hang up, pretend they can't hear and reply with pre-written templates without even reading the message. And when someone writes that eBay's policy has been violated and everything will be okay, nothing happens, and it's been a month already. Template after template flies by, they don't even want to and refuse to refer the matter to the Operations Manager/Team Manager, where it is their responsibility.
I've been on this platform for 18 years and for the first time I don't know what to think.

·8 months agoGenerally speaking, it's not easy for a seller to get eBay to remove negative feedback. eBay regards negative FB as evidence of an unhappy buyer and they certainly don't want those.
pabloscave.shop
OP8 months agoThere was never a problem with feedbacks that are against the policy. Now eBay is a part of criminals - there are policy that need to be followed.
Now the support is like a template of answers, no real help at all where ebay is breakign they OWN procedures and policy.

·8 months agoNothing like calling attention to feedbacks being against policy!
Although I see nothing in the buyer's feedbacks that indicate violations, the feedback YOU left for the buyer IS a violation.
Sellers cannot leave negative comments for buyers and if the buyer reports your feedback left, it will be removed and you will get a policy violation ding on your own account, @pabloscave.shop
