    removing high not-as-described additional charge on transactions

    I'm a top-rated seller, but still can't shake these n-a-d charges on my sales; it seems like they count everything against you, even within buyer-seller agreement on item returns.  What can I do differently?

    I sell in basically the same categories as you do.

    I absolutely do not sell anything that does not work 100% and I have free returns. The free returns saves me a few INAD's every year as buyers can then choose any reason for the return and still get a paid return label.

    I suppose you ran the report on your returns to see which returns count against you and when they will fall off the metrics after a year.

    Good luck moving forward.

    @crib1840

    There is no requirement that a buyer has to open a dispute for a seller to honor a return and refund.  For me, I get buyers that will sometimes contact me directly because there is an issue with an item.  I always work with them to try and resolve that issue.  Now these are buyers that are operating in good faith, not ones that I feel are trying to scam me.

    But whenever possible, I will send them a return shipping label, again a dispute does not have to be opened to do this.  Once I get the item back, I will refund the buyer as we agreed to do.

    So if you get any buyers that right you direct with an issue and you feel comfortable in dealing with them to a positive resolution, I would encourage you to do that.  But if you get a feeling they are not being honest with you or in any way trying to take advantage of you, don't do it and have them file a Request for Return.

    Ebay has to track these things to ensure that sellers are operating correctly.  Those sellers that are not dealing with buyers in a good way give us all and the site a bad rap sometimes.  So it is very important.
