I would not argue that an email address should not be taken down for reasons of privacy, but the primary reason that eBay doesn’t want email addresses on these boards is to prevent off-eBay sales. Ultimately, they don’t really care about my privacy.
Go to EBAY Help Screen and select REQUEST CALLBACK. Be sure your settings on your cellphone allow "unknown callers". Otherwise, EBAY cannot get through.
Anything negative about Ebay gets taken down by moderators... reminds me of my days spent in China. Communism rules the USA ... it’s just under the bedsheets and sold with creative marketing. We are controlled 100% and we love it....

I know that if I was running a successful business I would want to know how to make it better. The best way to do that would be to ask my customers/clients what they think I need to do to make that happen, and since I am running an on-line business, I create or hire someone to create a 'forum' where people could discuss my business.
I would call this an independent forum to let posters know that I will not participate in any way. But, like any business person, I am going to 'peek' once in awhile to see what people are saying about me and my business. If I see something that really bothers me and that could lead to a loss of business, I would probably nudge my forum people to stop that from happening.

I don’t see different opinions and things that I just disagree with as stupid. I think there’s far too much behavior on these boards that reflects your sentiment. We have a lot of different people with different experience that have different opinions and takes on things. That’s a good thing. people don’t need to be insulted, their ideas don’t need to be called stupid.

I know it's getting confusing, but eBay is not governed by the (still existing...for now) 1st amendment. They have a right to limit speech on their own properties.
I agree with you as once upon a time ebay had a REAL LIVE PERSON phone number to call. From what I understand legally any venue handling money has to have a REAL LIVE PERSON contact phone number. For instance, you can call Paypal and get a live person as paypal deals with money so does ebay, but ebay gets away with not really offering nor posting a phone number with a live customer service agent. I have tried asking ebay to call me back, but they never did nor did they acknowledge via voicemail that they have even tried. For this reason becareful the dollar amount you sell here incase something goes very wrong...
Considering you've posted on the Selling board, I would very strongly suggest asking the people here about whatever problem you've encountered. The phone reps are infamous for handing out nonsense info to get you off the phone faster.

@hea_463018 : You could hit the Reply button here and tell us what problem(s) you are having. Judging from your feedback left for others though I am thinking that perhaps Ebay is not for you.
You can request a call back or you can message them on Instagram.
However, most of the problems you encounter can be dealt with using the automated system. If you'd like to share your problem here, there are probably many people who can give you advice and guide you through what to do.
