Not enough information to assess what the issue is if there is one. Why are you refunding the buyer? Did they open an official eBay case/claim for a return or did they just ask for a refund through messaging? If they opened an official claim/return request what was the reason and how did you respond? If you elected to refund the buyer upon return of the item what is the status of that return?
You have been selling for quite some time this seems like a strange question from a seasoned seller.
EBAY shows "gross sales" (purchase price + shipping). EBAY will NOT deduct refunds from gross sales total. You need to deduct "refunds" and other expenses when you file taxes.
