    refund or return

    A buyer requested a return for an item she bought even though my ad stated "No Returns". Then she got nasty and messaged me with accusations about my description in my ad. From the sound of her rant I decided I wasn't going to argue with this person and started a refund. She got her money and still has my product. Did I do this wrong? Should I have gone through the return channels instead?

    This may be the straw that broke the camel's back. I will never sell on ebay again. Not to mention ebay's fees for every little thing has really gotten out of hand.

    Accept the return.  Get the item back and resell to someone else. Returns are all part of being a seller.

    All selling involves costs...at some point in our internet world, many of us lost that notion...or maybe never understood that in the first place.

    One big advantage to on line selling is the costs are extremely low...sellers need to view the glass as half full.  For starters, just imagine how much it would cost to be open 24/7 and have a store where every customer is first in line?

    Assuming the $36 Tablet- why sell with 'no returns' in the first place? You do know (or now you know) that 'No Returns' does NOT mean 'No Refunds' as a buyer can simply open a return case with 'not as described' and you are forced to either

    a.) pay return shipping label and refund upon it's return or

    b.) just 'refund' without paying return label (which is what 'no returns' means)

    As stated by @monica-sells: you did it wrong; should have told buyer to open return and you will refund upon its return, if you wanted it back (but if they did open a 'not as described' you'd be getting a 'ding' for that reason as well as paying return shipping.

    @Anonymous

    Why didn't you just accept the return and get your item back?

    NO ONE should sell on Ebay without being familiar with the Ebay Money Back Guarantee (MBG)

    Yep...you did it wrong.....

    There is a return/refund process that you admit you should have followed.
