Refund issues
I am trying to refund some buyers, but for some reason it won’t allow me to use my bank account? It’s saying I need an active debit/credit card however I currently lost my cards (wallet stolen) and don’t have a card to use? Is there a way to still refund through my bank account and eBay can just get the funds through there? Seems kind weird that is not an option. Only other thing I can think of is eBay’s money back guarantee and having the seller initiate a claim but isn’t that a long process?

OP4 months agoare you talking about banks in the United States? I currently have a bank account number and routing number linked to my ebay. The debit card linked to that account was stolen and no longer active. I did go through Wells Fargo to request a new debit card however this will take two weeks to come in. eBay currently will not let me use a bank account and is requiring I use a debit card OR credit card. I don’t see how this is a banking issue as the account is active with the correct information in eBay but eBay is just not letting me use it.

OP4 months agoI’m not having issues with my bank my routing number and account number are fine, I am asking how, through eBay, do I issue a refund with my bank account that is on file. I seem to be getting prompted to only be able to use a credit or debit card, and I want to use my bank account since I currently do not have a debit or credit card I can use.

·4 months agoYou need a debit card...not a credit card.
Debit card has a routing number...of your bank.
You will need to visit your bank...their is probably a 'block' on your account from the bank.

·4 months agoMaybe go to your bank...I assume you are getting new cards...ask the teller for your bank routing number...new one?...which you can use and input for refunds.
Your bank will usually put a hold on your accounts.
And best to go into the bank to fix this in person.
