Refund a buyer
Hello, I had a statue that somebody bought but was no longer available. I did the required tasks to cancel order. Meanwhile the buyer cancel order so I thought everything was good. Come to find that I didn't respond to the buyers cancel order in the mail ime frame. So buyer probably got notice she couldn't cancel. The buyer was incredibly understanding while I was trying how to get them refund. But it never happened unless eBay paid me to refund the buyer. It's a mess and I don't know what to do.

·1 year agoIf your funds are being held, you have to pay the refund, then the buyers payment will be sent to you when the hold is released.

·1 year agoIf your customer's payment had been accepted, and you use the default Tuesday bank transfer, you have until Monday night to refund them.
So refund as soon as you can.
Otherwise on Tuesday the refund will be pulled from your backup funding, usually a credit card.
Keep in mind that it is our responsibility to constantly confirm that our inventory is up to date-- even though eBay has a decades long habit of relisting Sold items without notification.

·1 year agoYou need to cancel the order where buyer paid for it in the item...that money comes out of 'your available funds'...not 'your processing funds'.
The processing of the sale takes a few days to get into 'available funds' to show up.
Is this a today or a past problem?
