Receiving continuous removals of a listing in category that I've used for 17 years
Summary: healthy-home-zone expresses frustration with eBay for repeatedly removing a longstanding item listing, despite similar items still being available on the platform and in stores. They have managed to resolve the issue twice by speaking directly to a human representative, but eBay continues to remove their listings. rfmtm asks for more details about the item and suggests caution against relisting while the issue is unresolved. Eventually, healthy-home-zone mentions that the issue is under review once again by higher-level authorities at eBay.
I'm responding to another member's frustrating experience with eBay regarding having a listing removed while that item is still being openly listed by others. I share your frustration. I have been selling a particular item for 17 years on eBay. In June they removed one of my listings saying that it violated their policy regarding that particular category. I appealed that and was turned down. At that time, and currently, there are over 10,000 listings for that type of items. It is available both on eBay and any other online pharmacy or in local stores such as Walgreens, CVS and Walmart. I was able to speak with a human who understood my problem and they sent it up the line for re-evaluation. Eventually it was approved and the removal was reversed. However, in early August, the same thing happened again. I again was able to get to a human being and the removal was removed. Now, in September, the same thing has happened again. I appealed and the appeal was turned down with no further recourse. Now I can't even find an option for speaking with an automated responder let alone a human being. I'm most frustrated and still looking for a solution to this mess. Please let me know if you find a solution for this.

·1 week agoWould need more details about the item. But generally once removed due to the fact you are now on ebay radar the bots pay more attention to your listing.
Do not relist until this matter is resolved.
What type of item was it?
Did you get a VeRO notice?

OP1 week agoThis matter was resolved twice this summer but eBay did it again. I finally reached a human and the matter is now pending review by the muckity-mucks.

·1 week agoLets us know how it turns out, but don't be surprised even when resolved the bots do it again. You need to get them to put an exception on your account, which is the only way to keep it from happening again.
