Really now, CBT is a tool just to cripple SMALL SELLERS or WHAT?

I really felt the need to complain about what happened recently to my ebay seller account! First, let me note that EBAY ITESELF have nominated my account as: "Top rated ebay seller" for YEARS, having almost constantly 100% positive feedback, and this really makes the whole situation even MORE ridiculous!
What happened: Since 1/1/2026 all countries stopped delivering untracked economy packets that had stamps on it (the way i post economy packets for many years until now...) and require a "customs label".
At Post office are not accepting such packets any more, BUT it seems that many countries (even in E.U. like Germany, France, Spain etc) had ALREADY stopped delivering such packets since December, WITHOUT noticing anyone, resulting in many "economy" packets i had "in the air", NOT to be delivered!
Of course you can imagine what happened next: I've started getting multiple "item not received cases" in a very short period of time, which triggered the "Cross-Border Selling Performance" **bleep** they impose on seller accounts since last year (as if the already existing metrics, like getting standard/top rated badges and MOSTLY buyers feedback, weren't enough for... "buyer protection") which of course have f@ucked up my ebay account with penalties and restrictions in NO time!
The problem of course is the way the algorithm and metrics of this CBT **bleep** works, getting results from a VERY SHORT time period of ONLY the last 7-8weeks ,AND using average PERCENTAGES ONLY! And why this is STUPID, UNFAIR, UNJUST for smaller sellers that usually make a few dozens sales/month?
Because even ONE or TWO "Item Not Received" or "Seller Fault Unfulfilled%" cases, can immediately shoot the percentage well above average and trigger IMMEDIATE penalties! Imagine having for years "ebay top rated seller" account with almost constantly 100% positive feedback ,and suddenly just because 1-2 "INR" cases happened together, ebay IMMEDIATELY treats you like you are the BIGGEST Seller SCUM!
First, canceling paypal as payment method (a few years before), by far the BEST way to make international transactions, now this CBT **bleep** over the last year, ebay really have started behaving like they want to expel all the sellers (especially the SMALL ones...) and make their platform ONLY for big companies, china resellers and perhaps some people trying to get rid of useless items for them... That's why i created an account on Tindie platform (i mostly sell stuff i make for vintage 80's computers) , which accepts paypal, have less fees (especially for buyers, there are NO mandatory "international fees", VAT, extra fees for overseas buyers etc...) MUCH better managment for shipping methods. Most important, Tindie is a much more "hobbyist" platform having WAY LESS "crybaby" customers who are probably used to ordering everything from big companies and receiving very quickly, and usually eager to open disputes. And to tell you the truth, i'm really tired of these kind of ebay buyers, since this CBT **bleep** imposed on sellers, i started to contact by personal messages with EACH buyer choosing economy/untracked postage method, in order to SPECIFICALLY notify them that ebay delivery times are WAY too short, that it might need a month or so to get their item, and BY NO MEANS to open a case WITHOUT contact me first... However, what happens in practice? Many of these buyers ,open a case WITHOUT contact, and usually JUST after ebay allow them to do it! And as i already wrote, this behavior triggers the CBT **bleep**, and F*CK UP your seller account in no time...
Having said all that, i can't stop wondering, if this absurd ebay behavior against small HONEST and GOOD sellers (constantly blaming and punish them for factors completely beyond their control, like postal strikes, postal negligence, crybaby customers...) is because they want to blindly obey the orders & directives of the psychopath leaders of the "Euro-Soviet Union" who also want us to eat all the poisons from Latin America (MERCOSUR pact) , and force us into a war with Russia...

OP8 months agoI've searched a little ebay forums, and it seems that there is no specific "europe forum", instead the https://community.ebay.com/ acts like a global forum and since many ebayers are in Europe too, maybe this is the right place for the topic afterall 🙄

Btw, every now and then, anxious buyers from the US ask me about not being able to post to US, but we still can't post anything to US from Europe....

·8 months agoI have to agree with annadryl, I think it would be better suited if you brought this to the attention of the seller forum in your own country because we are not aware of the shipping conditions in your country & surrounding countries.
