questions about running sales
I haven't done it in years, do not remember it resulting in much. I am thinking about it as a way to perhaps get more sales during this quiet time. Anyone run sales recently? any luck getting orders? I am thinking maybe 7% off, is that high or low? do you run the sale for your whole store or rotate sections?
Any tips and thoughts welcome, thank you!

·3 years agoI do get a bump in sales (sometimes small) from running sales. I usually do 2 or 3 at a time, 10%, 15%, or 20%. It means I have to go through and select the items individually, so it's time consuming.
What sale each item goes into depends on price and how much I want to move that item along. If it's a $100 item, 10% might motivate someone to buy now and save $10. If it's a $10 item, in most cases having the price reduced to $9 won't motivate me to purchase.

OP3 years agoIt's interesting to think about why a customer might buy an item on sale when there is also Best Offer. I guess some people aren't sure what Best Offer is all about.
