Question....(Item Description From Seller)
In between "Item Description From Seller" and the "see full description" link.
Anybody know how to enter text there (like the image on the right)?

·1 year agoThere's no official guidelines I've found, but from what I can tell, it will show there if your description has pretty much no formatting and is below a certain length, though I'm not sure exactly what that length is.

OP1 year agoThe photo on the right: It's not "condition description" (they have that filled out as well, and it's different).
Now, their "full item description" is a very lengthy page of disclaimers and stuff.
BUT, the area in question that I'm asking about/text. Is not in the full item description on phone or pc.
And the text in question is not shown anywhere on a pc at all. Just phone

·1 year agoSo if you click "See full description" it's different, with all the formatting you describe? I haven't seen that before, but that does change my understanding of that area. I don't have any more answer for you, though, sorry.

Okay, I found that text on a pc. It's the last half of a paragraph at the very bottom of their Full Item Description page.
So you think if the full item description gets TOO long.....it prints the end of it up there? And shows that on a phone?

·1 year agoThat would be odd, but possible? When I view our listings on a phone, even from a different account, I just get the link to see the full description, never any part of the text. We've added some minimal formatting (bold and italics), and we have several line breaks in any given description, but it's often all in total about as long as the text in the screenshot you posted, and never at any point has any of it appeared for me on mobile unless I do one thing:
If I edit the listing via the mobile app, it prompts me that it's going to remove all formatting if I continue. If I let it do that, and the description isn't too long, I have gotten it to show without requiring me to click on the link.

It's my understanding that the description will show on a phone if HTML is not used.
If HTML is used, then if you're on a phone you'll have to hit a link to read the description.
