QR Code being sent through ebay messages
New to ebay. A user sent me a message with a QR code, what is this? He sent it with the caption DONE.

Pay attention to what @mamacassidy said. You are a new seller selling a very expensive pair of collectable shoes, which puts you straight on the radar for scammers.
If you are going to sell on eBay, you need to find out how eBay works and the risks involved in it. Start out with cheap items until you get some knowledge and experience under your belt or you could find yourself losing both the item and the money.
You can do what you want, but if it were me, I would end that listing immediately. No way would I sell anything like that on eBay and I've been selling on here for 28 years.
BTW, it's a good thing you didn't click on that QR code and came here to ask about it.

·1 month agoScam.
"Scam QR codes—known as “quishing”—are fraudulent QR codes that redirect you to fake payment pages, credential‑harvesting sites, or malware downloads, causing losses such as the RM30 million reported in Malaysia in early 2026."
Don't scan any QR codes that you receive that you did not ask for. Don't scan them on this platform or any other platform or from any unsolicited mail you receive.

Right now you are a prime target for scammers.
