purchased a item, seller will not refund, never shipped item
Made a purchase, seller never shipped, so I asked to cancell, contacted them numerous times and got all lies, claims it was shipped and then claimed to give me a refund, which was all lies. I now cannot open a case cuz I opened one with Pay Pal and have to wait till the 14 for a response??? this is riduculous, and I probably will never buy on ebay again

·2 years agoLooking at seller's sale and your item purchased...did you purchase item on April 4th? If I am not mistaking that is what it looks like. Sounds like you tried to cancel the sale and it got mailed or something.
Going to your banking institution eBay steps back and your bank will handle the transaction.
Item was probably shipped without tracking or tracking input was not incurred immediately.
"I probably will never buy"....OK

·2 years ago@gillsrock11 - For future reference:
When you make a purchase on ebay, the order of claims (if needed) should be:
1. Claim through the order on ebay
2. Claim through Paypal (if that was how you funded)
3. Claim through credit card
Had you gone through ebay and made the actual claim rather than contacting the seller, you would have received your refund since the seller doesn't appear to have tracking to show that you received the item.

·2 years agoOnce you open a case with paypal or your credit card, on any venue, the venue, eBay or other, is out of the picture and you wait until the case is decided by the financial institution by which you filed.
The proper way to have handled this would have been to open a Item Not Received case on eBay, one day after the latest estimated delivery date provided by eBay when you purchased the item. You don't have to go back and forth with the seller. The system is automated.
You can always come here with questions concerning transactions before you play the trump card with a financial institution. The eBay Money Back Guarantee is solid if used properly.

·2 years agoSince you opened a dispute through PayPal, eBay can no longer help with your issue.
You will have to wait for PayPal's decision. Sorry.
You should have opened a INR through eBay first. It's not eBay's fault your seller didn't follow through with the transaction. Not all transactions end up like yours did.

·2 years agowhy would you never buy again just because you made an error filing for a refund?
it is a process/protocol....
why contact numerous times?
It takes 2, maybe 3 clicks to initiate a refund (an INR or otherwise)
a seller can't "claim" to ebay to give you a refund....they can lie to you, but not ebay
Catch your breath, go to the item in your purchase history and see of you have any options...
chances are, since you jumped the gun and went to paypal, you lost your Buyer Protection and the MBG (Money Back Guarantee) privileges, but I am not sure....

@gillsrock11
You would be correct. Once you bypass the eBay system and file with your payment source, eBay is no longer obligated to assist you.

·2 years agoYou had 30 days after the last estimated delivery date to open an item not received case with eBay.
If you missed that deadline, Paypal gives you 180 days to open a case there.
Or your credit card gives you time to do that.
You appear to have been both a buyer and a seller and have a good reputation here, having been around since February 28, 2011. So you are giving up eBay because of one incident, in which you apparently failed to utilize the tools eBay gives to all buyers?
