Provided All Invoices, Never Warned, Still Restricted Since 2022 — Where Do I Appeal?
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. My selling privileges have been restricted for several years and I’m looking to request a formal reinstatement review.
A bit of background: I was an active seller for since 2005 with 128 feedback and a near-perfect rating. I had no unresolved disputes or buyer complaints, and I was never issued a warning or notified that my activity violated any policy. When the
restriction was applied, I was asked to provide invoices for my phone sales — which I did — but the restriction remained in place regardless.
I’ve tried reaching eBay support through the app and help center but keep getting redirected to my Messages, which has nothing actionable in it. The appeal email I found online bounced back.
Can anyone advise on the correct channel to submit a written reinstatement appeal in 2026? I’d really appreciate being pointed to the right contact or process.

·5 months ago@shux78 You say you are on restriction. Let's clarify: Did eBay tell you that your account was permanently suspended or banned? Have you ever submitted any other appeal and had it denied?

OP5 months agoThank you for asking — here is the exact response I received after submitting my documentation in 2022:
‘We have completed an additional review of your account and show that your account was originally restricted because it was in violation of eBay policy and your behavior posed a risk to the eBay community. Because of this, we have decided that your account will remain indefinitely restricted from selling. Although future emails from you will be read, we will be unable to respond to any further requests to reinstate your selling privileges.’
I was never given a specific reason for the violation despite fully cooperating with their documentation request. I sold cell phones and provided invoices when asked — that was the extent of it.
I’m reaching out now in 2026 because I’m hoping enough time has passed for a fresh review. Has anyone here successfully appealed after receiving this type of response from Trust & Safety? Any guidance on the right contact or approach would be greatly appreciated

I’m sorry. In all my years here, I have never heard of a user coming back from an indefinite (permanent) restriction.
