Protip that I hope I am just late to learning, but may help others....
This is a protip for managed payments....
I have had them set to "daily payout" since I was forced into MP in 2019... a couple years ago ebay eliminated weekend payouts, which meant I went from 7 payouts a week, to 4.
This was extremely frustrating when getting payments on Thursday nights... Thursday payments meant I didn't see that money in my bank account until the following Tuesday!
Well I just found a work around I was either oblivious to, or ebay hid from us lol (hoping I'm just telling everyone something they knew here but wanted to make sure)....
If you change your payments from daily to weekly, bi weekly, or monthly... you can request immediate withdrawal (payout) of any any payment that has been processed.. and you can apparently do this on the weekends as well.... this is 100% free, and unlimited... just blocked from daily payments (because... ebay?).. so if you want your money faster, without the weekend blockout.. switch to weekly ... it's 100% free.
hopefully this info helps a few frustrated sellers like myself.. had hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars tied up every week
PS.. be careful doing this.. there are both immediate payout (which is 100% free and takes 1-2 days) and "express payout" which sends the money in minutes, but they will charge you $2 for.... only do the free version unless you need the money right away.

·4 months agoI operate my business with enough reserve where my payouts could change to quarterly and it wouldn't matter much.
The only reason I have it set to daily is so excess funds can go into investment accounts faster. Meaningless in the short term, but adds up in the long term.

·4 months agoI have Express Payouts...weekly on Tuesday.
Usually get the funds late afternoon Tuesday.
The nice thing about setting it up this way is available funds are available on holidays if needed in an emergency.
Or say...you have to do a refund of $300. and you got $300. in available funds...and it's Monday.
And you need that $300.00 now...so for 2 bucks you can get it.
Otherwise...doing a refund of $300.00 that $300.00 will be taken out in seconds of available funds.
Same with fees of promoted listing sales...those are usually taken out of available funds immediately.
And I find it easier to check all this on my Iphone eBay APP....especially the deductions and fees and such.
The eBay APP on my phone makes life so much easier and quicker than using the computer...especially bidding on auctions in bed...LOL

·4 months agoI would never consider daily payouts - what an administrative headache for me and my bank. You're smart to go to weekly - more flexible and yes, you get that early payment option should you need it.

OP4 months agodaily payout helped me know how consistent my sales are/ were... its a great measuring stick for success and lets you know which days are better than others for your products

·4 months agoI see what you're saying, but I find more information when I take a somewhat longer view of what's selling and what isn't. A week isn't nearly long enough for me - I'm thinking for me monthly might be better. But it's all up in the air. My store is closed right now but I'm pretty small time these days (used to be full time). A lot probably depends on what one sells, if one needs to keep ordering inventory and the like.
