Promoted Listings Disabled Due to 4 Old March 2026 Defects – Need Help
Summary: mughal_3, an eBay seller from India, is seeking advice on how to address issues with their USA Seller Performance, which has led to the disabling of their Promoted Listings. The problem stems from four 'Cases closed without seller resolution' defects in March 2026, causing a high defect rate despite having zero late shipments and a 100% tracking success rate. They are struggling to reach eBay support beyond automated systems to address these past issues. shire123 responds that there is no known method for escalation in such cases and suggests focusing on increasing the number of transactions to reduce the defect rate over time.
Hello eBay Community and Seller Mentors,
I’m an eBay seller from India selling on eBay.com, and I need help regarding my USA Seller Performance and Promoted Listings.
My Promoted Listings are currently disabled because my USA account is Below Standard due to 4 “Cases closed without seller resolution” defects from March 2026.
All 4 orders were shipped to the buyers and were eventually delivered. The delays occurred during carrier transit. Since March 2026, I have had no new defects.
My current USA performance shows: • 4 defects / 37 transactions
• 10.81% case-closed-without-seller-resolution rate
• 0% late shipment
• 100% tracking uploaded on time and validated
• 0% return rate
I have already tried Seller Help, but these four March cases are not eligible for the normal defect-removal request. I also tried contacting eBay through Help & Contact, but I keep getting sent through the automated loop and cannot reach an agent.
I really need Promoted Listings because it is an important part of my eBay business and directly affects my visibility and sales.
Could an experienced Seller Mentor please advise me on the best way to get these four old defects manually reviewed by eBay and have my Promoted Listings eligibility reconsidered?
I understand eBay’s policies and I am not asking to bypass them. I am simply requesting guidance on whether there is a legitimate escalation or manual-review route available for these old cases.
Thank you for your help.

·3 weeks agoBut you did not resolve the 4 cases before they were closed, which is what caused the defects.

·3 weeks agoThere is no method for review or escalation for situations like yours. We read about them just about every day on these boards. Unfortunately, these situations arise for many non-USA sellers.
At least it appears you have not been banned (yet). The best you can do is continue selling and increase the number of sales by any means possible so that the percentage can drop. I believe the defects will drop off after one year.
You are in a precarious situation. Any further defects could very well result in your permanent bannishment.
