Private coupons -- who gets these?

My understanding is that after I launch a private coupon, ebay will automatically send it to my recent buyers, repeat buyers and high value buyers. Can anyone confirm this is how it works? I saw a way to share with buying groups and followers when I set it up, but after launching, it seems I can only share via social media. Hoping the coupon got sent out automatically to the three buying groups above. Or did I miss the boat to share with my buyers via ebay messaging? THANKS --Rod at TMGS

·1 month agoI only do auctions I think I heard you can't send coupons for auctions. Is this correct?

·1 month ago · EditedYes, that is how a Private Coupon works for Buyer Groups. You can select the criteria (Followers...Buyers that Bought more than 30 days ago...Bought more than 6 months ago, etc.) and then name the Group and send them a Coupon. You don't have to use the "Social Media" option. If you used the "Select Buyer Group" option and sent it, then eBay will Send it to them. Kinda anonymously because they don't list those Buyers. You would have to go back into your Orders to see who falls within what time-frame you used. Then you can also use that same coupon to send elsewhere as it will be listed on your Discount Campaign Page.

OP1 month agoThanks for this reply. Just to clarify, does eBay send automatically to groups of buyers that ebay has defined systematically, or do I have to choose groups at the time of launch. ( I did not choose any groups when I launched coupon thinking that ebay would just know which buyers fell into recent buyers, repeat buyers and high-value buyers) Thanks again for any added info you can give

You have to create the buyer group, and indicate that you want the coupon sent to that group.

·1 month agoI created private coupons and had to send them to buyers individually. There was nothing about launching it to automatically go to people who recently bought from you.
