Police Officer or FireFighter
I have two different bobble body figures made by the same manufacturer. One represents police and the other represents a firefighter. Both sell for the same price. The police figure sells but nobody buys the firefighter. No love for our fireman?

·9 months agoNo idea. But I've always wanted to drive a fire engine.

OP9 months agoFunny that you say that but I have thought of buying Firefighter Vehicles but as crazy as kids are wonder if one would play with it and set a fire and I get sued. LoL!

·9 months agoNot sure if this is the problem, but the pictures do not show the top of his hat. The price is low enough and shipping is low enough. Maybe improve your photos. People may think there is something missing at the top and you don't want them to see that. They could ask a question, but probably just move on.

OP9 months agoI will probably replace the photos. I have a few new items coming in to list so will do it then. I just sold three police bobble bodies and still no fireman.

@collectintime nailed it.
You have four photos, none of which show the full figurine.
None show his hat. None show the back, the top, or the bottom.
Redo your photos and I'm sure you'll have success.

This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused processing delays.

Both are only averaging about a 10% selling rate. Looks like it doesn't matter if it's Fire Fighter or Firefighter, buyer are finding them, and buying them. Just not that many.
(And, I'm still mad at myself for not getting that Motor Max 79 Ford F-150 1:24 "No Box" for only $15. I looked at it for 3 days, then finally told myself, go BUY IT! It was gone that day. AGGHH! 😃)

OP9 months agoI hated to let that go like all my cars.

·9 months agoI used to include in my offerings firefighting collectibles. After 9/11 my sales dried up and never recovered.
I cannot explain why that is, but it was real.

OP9 months agoI am considering donating them to my local fire dept. They are brand new in original packaging but not selling so I don't need them.

·9 months agoA fine idea if you can't sell them, but I would try some tweaks to your title at least, like @tarotfindsandmore suggested, since that is a huge factor in getting things like that to sell.

·9 months agoIf they are not selling, That would be an Excellent thing to do with them, & I am sure they would appreciate them!, I don't think it's a matter of lack of love at all, It's just circumstance nothing more.

·9 months ago@tobaccocardyahoo Just going to throw this out here, there was so much pain. Watching them going into the tower.....it could be too hard to separate the pain. So many amazing humans. The whole day changed so much in many of us. The brave men and women still bring tears to my eyes.
With that said, here in Southern California the damage was horrible, but not like the images scared in our minds from the horrors of the towers. Not to say that there were not some real difficult moments.
My post office is next to a fire house and I must admit this old momma doesn't mind the view at all. Yep. 🙄
@jdbelt1960 What a nice idea. I always brought my other station all kinds of things my grandkids and I would bake. Good people they are. I bet they would like the bobble head on one of their desks. Or maybe one of their kids collect them. Firemen have always had a special place in my heart. Good people.
Sorry for going on. It still is raw here with the flooding and landslides in some of the burn areas.
I'm just waiting for Rod Serling walk out .....everything just feels surreal.
Sorry, I'll stop now. You can send me your bill😬

You could be right, but I was thinking something more existential, like spending money on their future rather than preserving the past.

·9 months agoPolice are better at publicity.
You see them around all the time.
Except in my neighbourhood where we are between the fire station and a hospital, so we hear the paramedic truck sirens a couple of times a day.

·9 months agoIt’s definitely not a lack of love! I appreciate both, they just don't happen to match my home decor.

·9 months agoYou might have better luck with "firefighter", it's one word. It may help with the search. We do love our firefighters but we may not see our fire fighters in the listings. 🙂
I just realized the title is also missing the term "figurine". People can't buy what they can't find.
