Phishing email for ebay offer
Please everyone be careful with ebay offers that do not originate from an ebay.co.uk or ebay.com email. Just got an email about an offer on an item for sale on my other account. The sender was not ebay and the ebay user was unknown but the link takes you to a dodgy site that asks to sign in and put in password. The thing about this type of phishing email is they scan your ebay items cost and main photo etc so it does look convincing as the offer price is under your sale price. These emails are phishing for your username and password so be careful and I would highly suggest setting up 2fa on ebay to protect yourself and always check the senders email in your email program to make sure it is a legit email.

Common sense says never click a link in an email.
Especially if you know there should be a corresponding eBay message.

OP2 years agoBTW Another red flag is the Item ID in the email was blank.

·2 years agoGood tip. If you haven't already @ukshowguppies - forward that email to spoof@ebay.com and if you want to go a step further, report it to the email host GMX.
