Hello Community Team,
I am seeking guidance and assistance regarding the permanent restriction placed on my eBay seller account, "dandsmerchants," as I genuinely believe there may have been a misunderstanding during the review process.
I operate a legitimate automotive parts business in the United States and have used my account to sell vehicle replacement parts, including headlights, tail lights, bumper kits, grilles, mirrors, fenders, and other automotive components. My business maintains its own suppliers, inventory, business records, and operational structure.
On May 1, my account was placed under review and my selling activity was restricted. At that time, eBay requested that I upload tracking information for completed orders and resolve any outstanding buyer issues. I complied with all instructions and worked to satisfy every requirement that was presented to me.
After completing those steps, I was informed by eBay Trust & Safety that my account had allegedly been linked to another restricted account identified as "motorautoparts-jh." This came as a complete surprise because I do not own, operate, manage, or have access to that account. To the best of my knowledge, my business has always operated independently and separately from any other eBay seller account.
Following my appeal, eBay requested extensive documentation to verify both my identity and business operations. I fully cooperated and submitted everything requested, including government-issued identification, proof of address, business documentation, supplier invoices, inventory sourcing records, and additional information relating to my business activities. I responded promptly and in good faith because I wanted to resolve any concerns eBay may have had.
Despite providing all requested documentation and cooperating throughout the review process, I later received notice that my account would remain permanently restricted from selling. The final communication indicated that my account posed a risk to the eBay community, but I was not provided with any specific explanation beyond the alleged account association.
What makes this situation particularly difficult is that I have attempted to comply with every request made by eBay. I supplied the documentation requested, addressed the review requirements, and made every effort to demonstrate that my business is legitimate and independently operated. Because of this, I am struggling to understand why the restriction remains in place.
I fully respect eBay's responsibility to protect the marketplace and understand the importance of preventing fraudulent activity. However, I am respectfully requesting that a moderator review my situation and determine whether my case may qualify for an additional review or escalation. If the restriction resulted from an incorrect account association or a misunderstanding regarding my business, I would be grateful for an opportunity to have the matter reconsidered.
I am not seeking special treatment. I am simply asking for a fair review of the facts, the documentation already submitted, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged account linkage.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Any guidance, assistance, or direction from moderators or experienced community members would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Sadia Tariq

·2 months agoWere you per chance selling "universal" fit parts?
Why was your selling activity restricted in the first place?
When you state that your business maintains its own inventory, where exactly is this inventory located and more importantly: Can you physically touch your inventory, did you purchase the items you are selling and are holding them in a storage location that you yourself can access, further do you box and ship items that are sold yourself?
Will you even come back to this thread to read the replies?

·2 months agoNo such thing as moderator assistance. This is a board of fellow sellers and buyers. No one from ebay will look at this.
Essentially, you are done on ebay. No review will occur. Ebay's decision is FINAL. What part of PERMANENT do you not understand?
