People keep hiking up the price of my auction to ridiculous amounte
I just had to re-list an auction because someone with zero feedback won it at $800+, then later said “that was my kid that used my account to bid and I can’t payâ€. So now the new auction was ran up to $3,500 within 24 hours and again by people with zero feedback. Is there anything I can do?I read via google that I can’t restrict bidders with zero feedback. I can’t seem to find any help with this kind of situation. It’s frustrating!!

·3 years agoAs @chapeau-noir and @albertabrightalberta mentioned this looks like a hot item and bidders may be bidding on multiple auctions for the same item and paying for the one they win at the lowest price. It could also be sports bidders. You could see if the item sells and is paid for this time or you could list it as BIN for something like $1,500.00 with immediate payment required.
You also have to be concerned about this being a scammers target with the item having that kind of value.

I never heard of that stuff but sheesh, the prices are crazy!
When the current listing ends and goes unpaid, you might be able to go back to the first listing that ended on July 6 and send a SCO to the second place bidder (with 16 feedbacks). If he/she buys and pays, fine. If not, you've lost nothing.

·3 years agoSomeone is really messing with your listing. I had that with Dr Dre Beats headphones once - it was very annoying.
I have a feeling you'll have trouble with that one - it's sold out on the site and there are even knock-offs of it being made and even a so-called "barely used" one is for hundreds here. I would sell it fixed price, immediate payment required - name your price. If people want it that badly, they'll pay it.
