Payout amount
Summary: brwar-6158 expressed frustration about receiving only $80.29 from a $400 sale on an online platform, feeling they were unfairly treated. christworks advised them that no one 'robbed' them and suggested starting a new thread with transaction details to understand what happened, noting that this discussion thread is outdated and will soon be locked.
Why is the payout on a $429 sale only $348?

You are posting in a thread that is a year old and will be locked by the mods soon. If you want to understand why you only made $80 on a $400 sale, you need to make a new thread and post details about the transaction. Look at the order page and provide us with all relevent details.

·1 year agoWell to start there are the standard selling fees which would be about $60 and then if you bought a shipping label via eBay you can add that amount, you offered (free) Priority shipping so $20 could be the right amount depending on the location of the buyer.
To see the actual breakdown you need to look at the Order Details.

·1 year agoDid you read about fees?
How much did you pay for shipping?
$429 is the total the buyer paid, including taxes.
Please read or watch the video about "understanding fees"

·1 year agoFirst off, the sale wasn't $429, it was $400. You were shown the amount the buyer paid with taxes, not what you sold it for.
Second, you offer free shipping which means you had to take the shipping cost from your payout.
Third, eBay takes a % based on the item and category off the top.
$400 - xx% - whatever you paid to ship = $348
You can view all of this in your transaction history.

·1 year agoIf you look at your fee and payout details in your Seller Hub, it's explained there... simple math. But it does require you to go to the effort of researching it, if you need the details.
