Order earnings
Can someone explain why on my eBay orders earned, they minus the shipping, then when I go to ship and print my label, I'm charged again. So if my order earnings is 30.00, after they minus shipping of let's say 4.00, when I ship, the earnings are only 26.00. it doesn't makes sense to me that the minus the shipping, then it's minuses again when I ship.

What you see on the order form is what your buyer PAID YOU for shipping. There is NO deduction for shipping on the order form because at all and never has been.
You pay your FVFs [final value fees] on the entire amount that the buyer pays you and that is also stated on the order form.

·11 months agoWhen you look at your Financial Summary- Recent Activity, the amount shown already has ebay fees deducted from the the total collected. Hit the arrow next to shown amount to see the breakdown. Label amount as you noticed is deducted from your running total when you actually print the label.

·11 months agoI don't know what "on my eBay orders earned" means, but if you bought one shipping label and think you were charged twice for shipping, you are mistaken.

FYI. The green amount listed here is my 10% discount as a TRS on the platform, so that might not apply to every seller, but its not hard to earn.

OP11 months agoOk, so eBay factors all the costs immediately after the sale which leaves you 6.42. now it's time to ship, so you make a label for 4.61 and now you balance is $1.71??

·11 months agoIn the example provided, the cost for the shipping label has already been deducted, because the seller has already printed one. That $5.42 that you see are the remaining funds that will be sent to the seller.

·11 months agoIf you use ebay labels, the shipping amounts are automatically transferred to that line and are shown as a (-) figure.
In this example, customer paid $6.09 in shipping (included in total paid) and I paid ebay shipping $5.15 for this label. (deducted after i bought it)

Technically, right after the sale I had a starting net of 10.03. Then, after I bought the shipping label, that brought the net down to 5.42 (not 6.42, I think you missed that).
And getting about 5 bucks for one of those is about normal.
What @powell-collectibles pointed out is correct.

·11 months agoYour buyer pays you $4 shipping. Then you use that money to buy a shpping label. You are not being charged twice.

·11 months agoThe only time you would be charged twice for shipping is if you bought 2 shipping labels.
