Order Details Page - now includes Item Specifics
I was checking out specs on one of my sales today when the buyer asked a question, and I noticed eBay added item specifics to the order details page.
Does this change add a benefit to you as a seller?
The change isn't harmful in any way. I'm not sure I get the purpose though; not immediately seeing what problem it solves.
I also noticed just above the IS it will show when a buyer left FB. Did not take a screenshot of that.
My last purchase (less than a week ago) does not show IS on the buyer's version of order details.

·2 years agoNot sure how much it would help the seller, since they have access to that information already.
It would be nice if it was on the buyers order details, especially for the listings where they can't see the original listing.

·2 years agoThat seems like it would be useful for sellers who have similar items to reduce pulling and shipping the wrong item, though generally I'd think they'd have processes in place to prevent that anyways if they have many similar items. It mostly seems like clutter, but not harmful.
Edit: @wastingtime101 yes, I can confirm I see that section added too. Since I have to click on it to see the details, it really takes up little space, so I don't mind it.

OP2 years agoAgreed. I did have the thought sellers could use IS to note inventory location if they are using the Custom SKU field for something else, but obviously that's not eBay's intention behind this change.
I could see it being helpful if a seller had both a new and a used one, except condition is not shown in the item specifics so ... 🤷
Brings me back to my initial comment: the change isn't harmful in any way. I'm not sure I get the purpose; not immediately seeing what problem it solves.

OP2 years agoDitto @brightlightbookseller . It doesn't bother me. The only reason I brought it up here is I thought I must be experiencing a brain fart that I didn't see an immediate problem solved by the change. Thought others might clue me in to the obvious point I was missing. 😂
Maybe it's very relevant for a specific high-volume category.

OP2 years agoIs anybody else seeing the addition of item specifics to the order details page?
