"Order Delivered" emails to sellers... why?
Seriously, what is the point? I don't need constant emails telling me when an item is delivered!
In the (rare) event I do need to check if an item was delivered, I can quickly and easily find that info. I already get about 75-200 emails a day (not just from ebay) depending on the day so I certainly don't need any more emails that have no relevance.
Really don't understand why they started doing this.

·6 months agoYou should ideally have a separate email account dedicated only to ebay. I have found that invaluable if I want to research something that happened further back in the past than 90 days.

·6 months agoI get the 'knock knock...you item is out for delivery' in a text.
I don't mind since I am out a lot...I call my wife to go get the package...I'm on the 4th floor no elevator.
It's good to have 2 email addresses...one for junk(I get 150 emails a day) and one email for eBay and business only.
And I like when I know my package was delivered to a buyer or out for delivery to the buyer.
It's a form of communication in this age which is helpful to some.
We are as sellers graded on 'communication in our feedbacks.

·6 months agoThe one thing I REALLY wish ebay would change, is go back to showing stats for the current MONTH. Then I probably don't care about the new email nagging.
90 days stats are meaningless as far as I'm concerned.
It's just another of the things they decided to change because they "know better than the sellers".

·6 months agoBe observant when you change your communications preferences.
I turned off my delivery notifications and did not notice my sold notifications were off.
Still got app notifications but no emails on sold.
I turned it back on.
Was it Ebay or me being fumble fingered? I'll never know.

·6 months agoand even if we somehow noticed an issue its not like we can do anything about a stuck or late package ... we dont need sellers messaging buyers every time a package is late, they already know

·6 months agoI just started getting them as a seller & also find them unhelpful. Thank you @tobaccocardyahoo for letting us know there's a new choice for turning those off in the Comm Preferences. Off to do it now.

·6 months agoI have been getting those delivery emails also lately. It seemed to coincide with the extra step in printing a label. Someone else mentioned last week that the "print label" step used to have the label come up automatically and but now it requires 2 steps. It seems that the 2-step labels are the ones where I see a delivery notice email. Maybe related or maybe not....

·6 months agoI get those as a buyer but not as a seller. I just delete those emails.

·6 months agoThey have added a selection for whether you want delivery notifications to your communications preferences.
I just turned mine off.

OP6 months agoI just found that and turned it off so hopefully no more of that mess.

·6 months agoThat's what the delete button is for.
Sometimes you just need to let things go.
May this be the biggest hurdle you encounter in your life.
Wishing you all good things moving forward.

OP6 months agoWell yeah, if you only sell a couple items a month it's not a big deal. When you sell on a larger scale then it becomes a hassle (everyone knows what a delete button is for). Especially when already dealing with several dozen emails a day. This is not my only sales venue, I don't need the added junk. I can only imagine the people that sell hundred of items a day getting hundreds of daily emails telling you an item you shipped was delivered.
Luckily one of the regular posters on the board pointed out that they added a separate selection to opt out of receiving those.

·6 months agoebay limits the number of messages a seller can send a buyer because they want to limit spam, yet they spam sellers constantly.

Yep. "Lucky one of the regular posters on the board...."
Good on you. You are a very busy person.
Again, wishing you all good things moving forward.

·6 months agoI do not receive these. I think it's because I opted out of a lot of communications in my account setting a while back.
You should check your settings and see what all you are opted in to.

·6 months agoLike so many other changes ebay makes, it appears that in some cases (most?) they've changed seller's settings.
