One time courtesy reserve price listing fee refund

Is there any way I can get a refund on a $75 reserve listing fee? This is my first time using eBay and posted a baseball card I wanted to sell and I had taken the listing down because of a mistake on the listing and then got a $75 charge to my card.

Note: If you list in two categories the reserve fee is applied to both categories. This little tidbit is not clearly stated on the reserve info page.

Let's clear something up, you were notified of the charge right before you hit "list", and the charge took place at that moment...not after you cancelled the auction. You knew you'd be charged the fee. No reason for it to be refunded, but you can try.

It shows during the creation of the listing that Reserve Price Fees apply for a auction.

After you enter your reserve amount ($1000 in this sample) you are given a warning to review your fee and it shows you that this optional Fee is ($75 in this sample).

The last step before you list it you are told the total amount of fees due. This fee is if it sells or not. You are also notified the Final Value Fees applies when you item sells.

But even with all of these warning sometimes eBay will waiver the fees if they believe you did not understand the fees. You would need to call them and hope you get an compassionate agent.

It depends what kind of a mistake did you make? Can you please give the details?

I see you only have 1 listing and have sold very little. Besides making an error why do think you should get a refund? $75.00 is nothing in relation to the price of the card you are trying to sell.

Whoâ€™s â€œweâ€? You donâ€™t work for eBay, and neither do the rest of us responding, and none of us could refund the fee nor make the decision to refund it.

@cahi8075 officially, eBay Reserve Fees are non-refundable. Occasionally, newer sellers have reported getting a one time courtesy refund, but youâ€™d have to contact eBay directly. I suggest not using a Reserve in the future and just starting your auctions at the lowest price you would accept, or list as fixed price instead of auctions.
