Offers from buyers accepted, then POOF!
Anybody else experiencing this? In the last 12 hours or so, I have received two offers for two different products from two different buyers. I accepted both, but at the moment, I do not see either one listed in the Awaiting Payment section nor in the Awaiting Shipment section (guessing that the order might be paid automatically upon my acceptance). They also do not appear in the Open Offers. I'm hoping that the buyers pay and then show up in Orders.
I don't recall this happening before. Does somebody know?

OP1 year agoHaha, I knew someone would catch that. I forgot to mention that the other buyer was able to purchase their item without any issues.

·1 year agoBut did you remain unable to see their unpaid order until they paid for it? -Asking in case it may have any relevance to what's going on with the other buyer.
Hopefully a smarter cookie than I will chime in with an answer for you tomorrow. I'm but an insomniac with mediocre policy knowledge.

OP1 year agoYes, that's correct. I feel like I might have stumbled onto some kind of glitch. The only other thing I could think was if the buyer had too many canceled orders, but the message the buyer received doesn't bear that out either. I think I'll be proactive about this and contact FB for Ebay and try to get someone there to answer if it's not figured out by morning.

·1 year agoSo, were you mistaken in your original post about having problems with accepted offers for 2 different buyers, and it's really just 1 buyer?

OP1 year agoI did not have "allow offers" turned on before, so I changed it and then asked him to submit an offer, which did, then I accepted it. I saw a note that said "You can't make changes if you have an offer pending", but at the time I changed the listing to allow offers, I had no offers pending...

OP1 year agoThe message that he gets says "The seller only allows buyers to purchase every 10 days".
@gurlcat the box that you have around those two lines; I had them checked like you did. I unchecked them thinking that might help but it didn't. That would only apply to people with low feedback or something, right? My buyer has like 500+ feedback at 100% so I'm still baffled.

·1 year agoYeah that doesn't make any sense. The thing I showed you is the only setting I'm aware of that can limit buyers' purchases per 10-day period.
@wastingtime101 @jonathanbrightlight Any other ideas why this seller is unable to sell multiple quantities to their buyer?

·1 year agoThe second checkbox would make the first checkbox only apply to buyers with low feedback, but if you only had the first one checked and not the second it would apply to all buyers regardless of their feedback.
Did you check the box directly under those to "Update block settings for active listings"? If not, the changes you made would only apply to future listings but wouldn't change your active listings. You can go back and check that box and save the changes again to make sure your current listings have those changes applied to them. That's my current best guess based on what I've read so far as to why it would still be preventing the customer from buying from you, which fits with the message they're receiving. Edit: I just realized that the customer is trying to pay for an accepted offer, I don't know for sure how that will affect this.
Edit: Thank you for the tag, @gurlcat . I hope your confidence that I could help find a solution doesn't end up being misplaced!

I had both of them checked.

I did not have that box checked, so I have checked it now and hit "apply".
If the customer tries to pay again now and it still doesn't work. Should we maybe cancel the order and try again?
Also, am I understanding correctly that Ebay on Facebook is no longer there to help?

·1 year agoYeah, canceling and letting them try again may help if needed, but hopefully what you just did will do the trick.
eBay on Facebook is still there, but if you had the old eBay for Business page saved, they stopped using that a while back, so it’s just the main eBay page you use now. Just send a private message via https://www.facebook.com/ebay

·1 year agoYou could have accepted a counter offer check to see if the listing is still live. A new eBay think is if you accept a counter offer the listing does not end and does not show in awaiting payments

·1 year agoYou want me to make an offer for you to accept, grab screenshots and see where it goes from there? I would just need you to cancel the sale if it does go through to your Waiting For Payment page, of course.

OP1 year ago@gurlcat Thank you for the offer, but now the issue has changed. The buyer says that they see my acceptance but are getting an error message when trying to make the purchase. I'm awaiting the actual message from buyer. He's trying to purchase 20 of the screw packs, but it tells him I wont allow more than one sale in 10 days or something crazy

·1 year agoThat's a setting in your Selling Preferences (do you know how to get there?).

If so, go there, and it's on the 'Managing who can buy from you' page. Click Edit.
Then on the next page, adjust the settings I've circled in purple. -Apparently your buyer has 5 or fewer feedbacks, and you must have the max number of item sales set at '1.' You can change these to make them more flexible for this buyer, and all future buyers.
Or if you would rather keep those settings so strict, but allow just this particular buyer freedom, you can scroll down to the bottom of this same page, add their name to the exempt list. -Just keep in mind, all buyers in that list have none of the restrictions on the whole page.

·1 year agoYou can check the "Manage Offers" section to see if the offers are listed there.
