Why am I not getting a notification when I sell an item? Checked my settings everything sems turned on.
Sold a expensive item and had no idea it sold. Buyer wants to cancel because I never shipped. I had no idea it sold.

·1 year agoBy notification are you referring to email or some other notification? Are you using a desktop or the APP? The recent upgrade to the new messaging system may have something to do with it but I have never relied on anything but the information in seller hub to know when an item has sold, when the buyer has paid and when I should ship.

OP1 year agoThe item never showed up in orders. I believe I know why. After twenty-five years selling here eBay decided they needed to update my tax number, Switching 1099 to electronic. Why they need it again is beyond me. They had a hold on money going into my account. This may be why it never showed up in sold or orders.
When I got the cancelation request today I went straight to orders and there was nothing there. Updated my tax number and it's there now.

·1 year agoYou really should be checking your account daily when you have active listings.
Ask the buyer if they still want it and maybe offer free or reduced shipping. If they no longer want it, just issue a refund, take the late shipping ding and learn from this lesson.
