·1 week agoI am having that same issue - they will not connect me and none of the articles in the help section relate to my issue. I bought something on ebay - it arrived and is defective. The seller is NOT able to answer my messages and there isn't a human from ebay responding and while I was charged - it didn't show up on. my purchases on my account. There is a fraud number but no one is able to connect me with a human there either. BEWARE OF ebay, I think. This is bad.

·2 weeks agoAt the top and bottom of every page in Ebay are links to contact Customer Service.
You should save this information as it can come in handy from time to time. At the very bottom is a link in which you can request Ebay to call you.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

·2 weeks agoRefund the buyer minus shipping.
That way you're not out money.
If the buyer still wants the item...
Have them correct their address and buy it again

·2 weeks ago · EditedTo get a new shipping label:
1. Ask the buyer to give you the correct adfdress.
2. Buy another shipping label using that address, either on eBay or with another source
But I think your real question should be "how do I handle this situation"? The answer to that quewstions requirs more information than you have given. For instance, Has the buyer contacted you? Has the buyer filed a dispute with either eBay or their payment institution? etc.

OP2 weeks agoI contacted the buyer and said she gets other packages. so I don't want to re-ship without speaking to an agent the address on label is not hers. Thanks, john

·2 weeks agoHi @4ever57
-If a package gets sent back to the Seller via the USPS Return to sender process the Buyer loses their eBay Money Back Guarantee protection but can still file a dispute with their funding source although the success of that considering they gave a bad address is questionalble.
-You can Refund the item price but NOT the shipping the Buyer paid (or if you sold with Free shipping back out the label cost from the refund). If the Buyer paid you to ship that money was spent on the round trip the package took and cannot be recovered by either party.
-You can Relist the item and if the Buyer still wants it they can correct their address and buy it again. Or if you do not want to risk a repeat add that Buyer to your Blocked list on this page: Buyer management | eBay
I message Buyers when this happens (but it is rare) to let them know what I am refunding and what I am not refunding and why.
-I've had this happen just a few times over the years. I elected not to block the Buyers and one of them was apparently in the middle of a move and may have used an old address ... they purchased again a few weeks later, same name just completely different address. I shipped, they received it and I never heard from them.

·2 weeks ago · EditedDo as albertabrightaberta said and issue a refund only after you get the item back. The buyer is responsible for providing the correct address. I would let them know what is going on and tell them to correct the ship to address and if they wish rebuy.
Don't change the address and reship even if they ask. This would void any protection you have as a seller.

As the seller, you aren't responsible for an item that was RTS (return to sender) if the buyer gave an invalid or otherwise undeliverable address.
Although there's no obligation on your part to issue a refund, what I would do is issue a refund of the amount you netted after retaining shipping and any fees that you can't get back.
