Nonpaying bidder
I have a nonpaying bidder. I checked his feedback, less than 6 months ago he received a positive but the seller added “never paid†its frustrating we cant leave a negative feedback. Going over his entire feedback, additionally he has 4 negatives and 2 neutrals as a buyer. Yet he still has 100% positive feedback. Whats the sense in my setting buyer requirements when they’re ignored. Frustrating!

Did you ship?
Do you still have the unpaid item?
Have you opened an Unpaid Item Dispute?
When you won that the deadbeat got a Strike.
Have you opted to automatically open UIDs after 96 hours?
Have you relisted the item?
Annoying as it is, it's pretty much the same situation as the retail clerk whose customer brings 20 garments to the cash, but decides only to to buy ten.
The clerk then has to return the garments to their proper shelves.
Also Auctions buyers are much much less likely to pay than Fixed Price.
And with Fixed Price, you can add Immediate Payment Required .

·3 years agoLeaving a negative feedback does nothing to limit future deadbeat purchases by that buyer. Future sellers may not even be aware of him anyway until the moment that he makes a purchase from them that doesn't have the Immediate Payment Requirement setting in effect for whatever reason, so negative buyer feedback comments are useless (not to mention a policy violation; don't go there).
Just be sure that you've waited a full four days (96 hours) from time of purchase, and after that time, you will be able to cancel with the reason of Buyer Did Not Pay. It's choosing that particular reason that will put an Unpaid slap on the buyer's record, and that in turn will help to screen him out of future seller headaches, possibly including yours. He needs only two Unpaids in 12 months to start seeing the effects.

·3 years agoWhoever he bought from before ignored the rules and failed to give that buyer unpaid item strikes (if they had, they wouldn't have been able to leave feedback, plus they'd probably have known that positive feedback with a negative comment is against policy and could result in consequences for them). If they had done so, and you had your settings to even a less restrictive setting than the maximum (though I recommend the max, which is 2 strikes in the last 12 months), you wouldn't be dealing with this. Do the right thing and follow the policy by cancelling in 4 days with "Buyer hasn't paid" as the reason, and you'll help other sellers too.
You may have buyer requirements set to block nonpaying buyers that have 2 unpaid items in 12 months. But if that buyer you're dealing with hasn't had 2 unpaid items in 12 months they won't be blocked.
Any negative or neutral feedback you're seeing in a buyer's profile are from before 2015 when eBay did away with allowing sellers to give negative or neutral feedback to buyers.
