Non paying bidder question
Ill be re-listing an item soon because of a non paying bidder. Can that same bidder bid again on any of my listings? Or is the non payer auto blocked ? Or do I have to manually block. Thanks

·1 year agoI never said seller sent an empty box. I only said I have not received anything
You would have to manually block the nonpaying buyer.
Did you cancel the transaction after 4 days citing buyer didn't pay?
Doing this will recover selling fees, give the nonpayer a nonpayment strike against their account and they wont be able to leave feedback.
A buyer with 2 unpaid item strikes in 12 months gets that buyer blocked from a lot of auctions and Buy it Now listings.

OP2 years agoIts now day 5 no pymnt and I sent a reminder. Tomorrow Ill re-list it w BIN and block the user.
I appreciate all the help
Stop sending invoices! When you do that you're actually giving them more time to pay and you're going to be waiting 4 more days before you can cancel for nonpayment.

OP2 years agoOh no didn't realize that. So sending a reminder extends it 4 more days? Rats!

OP2 years agoI was under the impression that sending a reminder was more like a nudge and not the same as sending another invoice. Its confusing and a lot different from when this last happened to me years back. I appreciate the clarification.

·2 years agoBefore you relist, you have to cancel the transaction. Otherwise, the buyer has 30 days to pay and you risk having two paying buyers for one item. Maybe you should read the Help page about what to do if a buyer doesn't pay:

OP2 years agoI will cancel before I relist thanks. But since I sent a reminder today ( day 5) I guess I wont be able to cancel and relist for another 4 days

·2 years agoA reminder message is not an invoice. It will not affect the 4-day wait to cancel based on nonpayment.

·2 years agoDon't take any chances... block him NOW, and set your block settings on the same Buyer Management page when you block him:

·2 years agoAfter four days you can cancel the transaction for nonpayment to give the buyer a strike and prevent feedback from being left. If you cancel earlier or for other reasons, the buyer will not get a strike.
Add the user to your Blocked Buyer List to prevent that particular user from bidding on or buying any more of your listings, regardless of what other sellers do.

Be sure to set your Buyer Requirements to preemptively block bids or purchases from users with two or more unpaid item strikes in the last year.
You can avoid unpaid items by listing your item for a fixed price with immediate payment required and by not accepting offers.
