it seems like my account has been blackballed. with the number of items listed , there have been no sales in 30 days or more which has never happened before. My contacting the BBB has stopped all sales????

I would ask. Are your items showing "impressions"?
If so, then your listings are being presented, and just not "viewed" or "purchased".

·1 year agoThe Better Business Bureau is a for profit franchised business that was set up to arbitrate problems between local businesses and their customers.
Full disclosure- we were paying members of the BBB for most of our 40 years in business before retiring.
It has no legal standing.
It's the equivalent of Judge Judy, sharia law, or marriage counselling.
If you want legal restitution, you want at a minimum, Small Claims Court.

·1 year agoSorry but try to take an objective look at what you are selling and your pricing. You listed 4 used oxo kitchen pieces for $25 + shipping. They can be found at virtually any thrift store or yard sale for $1 or $2. Used toy instruments and scary dolls?

·1 year agoIMO 192 items listed is not enough to generate a consistent sales pattern, even in good months in good times.
In my opinion, the BBB exists to sell memberships to businesses. Once they sell a membership, their goal has been met.

·1 year agoThere are so many factors to this...but try one simple thing....end all your auctions and then "sell similar" on all your items. Just be aware of the 250 fee listings as this could take you beyond that for July, depending upon when you items rolled over and how many you have.

·1 year agoI take photos near a window for natural sunlight...I also use black paper.
Certain words in a title I would use like 'vintage'.
Most potential buyers are going to know what is old or vintage and such.
List what you are actually selling...your selling a toy...not vintage.
Just ideas to think of.
Play around with your titles and change the words around...and look at sellers who are selling similar items to et some ideas to use.

·1 year agoHeck, my sales had gone up the past month. But I also have increased my available inventory and types of listings.
Everything always has an ebb and flow here. Some months are slow, others can be busy. That doesn't mean you are getting personally affected. Its the nature of traffic and what people are hunting for.
My advice, to have more options available, make attractive clean listings, price within reason for your item, and never state your own policies that conflict with eBay's site polices and you will be fine.

·1 year agoHard to prove if you are being blackballed, But I am sure they do not appreciate being reported to the BBB, But proving they are blocking sales for you would be Very difficult if they even are.

·1 year agoIt is like another eBay user said in a different post. "It is not your turn." Unfortunately. Branch out. I hope you get some more sales soon. Why the BBB may I ask?

·1 year agoSummer play is frequently outside using large muscles. You should do good with inside toys starting in September. Retail toy prices have skyrocketed and used are a good alternative.

As far as I know, ebay doesn't blackball anyone. Why are you continuing to list if you hate them enough to report them to the BBB?
