·2 years agoWell I won’t have to waste gas driving to the post office tomorrow since I can just schedule a pickup for these three little packages. I have a rule that if there’s more than four packages, something valuable or oversized then I’ll make the trip, otherwise it’s just not worth the time. I haven’t been to the post office in over a week.
It was feast or famine up until the 9th, then it took a turn for the worse. Now it’s just famine.

·2 years agoI was not expecting anything to sell on eBay today. The disappointing part was Marketplace. No sales / no messages to buy. A lot of window shoppers over the last 3 days, though. "Is this available?" 'Yes. Still for sale." "Ok. Great. Just had nothing else to do so I sent you a useless message & don't intend on buying anything. Maybe I'll see something else of yours that I don't want but will see if the item is still online for someone else to buy. Might make an offer just because I'm off my medication." lol

·2 years agoSunday has become a total day of the dead. People watching football are not on ebay. I sell lots of sports memorabilia but hate Sunday, throw in Saturday also. During the week I do gangbusters, so I have come to not expect much from the weekends.

·2 years agoI haven't seen an eBay commercial for a llllllllloooooonnnnnnggggg time.

·2 years agoHere I am again with my crazy theory.
If people want your items at the price you are asking, they will sell.
If people don't want your items at the price you are asking, they will not sell.

·2 years agonow your up to 6 items
retro_entertainment_collectibles
·2 years agoUmm... Remember looking at things sold in Advanced Search does not show all results, hasn't for quite some time nor does it show actual sales price of best offers.

·2 years agoHi @nerdarsenal ,
By now, you have sold 5 items today, and still hours to go til day’s end. Exactly how many sales were you expecting to make? Isn’t it a both a bit premature and incorrect to claim “no sales
As a top seller, you know retailing is never a guaranteed thing. Sales wax and wane. I see you made 26 sales yesterday, and 12 the day before. (Congrats on your sales!!) But nothing very earth-shattering going on here—just a slow day.

·2 years agoACTUALLY I cannot complain for this Sunday. It was very good. I hope everybody has THEIR day when it happens agin. And it will.
playwithitagaintoys
·2 years ago12 sales in a day for the no sales Sunday op. Maybe don't complain so quick every time things slow down a few hours?
chapeau-noir
·2 years agoOh, hellz - I should start complaining! Maybe a few sales will pop in for me.
HEY!!! HEY HEY HEY!!!!! I've had no sales all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEYYYYYY!!!
We'll see what happens.

·2 years agoEbay turned my switch OFF on November 10th.
Then it got switched to HIGH on November 11th.
Something really fishy is going on.

·2 years agoDont know how old you are but those $2 uncirc's if serial numbers are low might want hang onto. Some of the low #'s of the 2003 have went for hundreds and thousands of dollars.

·2 years agoHawaii's chart looks like mine.
I put 4-5 days in a row of good sales and I'm thinking, "The slump might be over"
Then the bottom drops out again.

·2 years agoWell this also the start of the insanity, my lady went to Kohls picked me up some decent Jeans, said they were 40% off and used some Kohls dollars atop it and they gave her $10 more Kohls dollars. She said the place was really jumping, lot of shoppers. Mucho Lego sets on sale too at like 30% off I think she said. She was going to get a few for grand kids but when she called me I told her don't. They wont play with em', there all into the Nintendo Switch thing.

·2 years agoIt's only mid-day and I have already had a number of sales, in fact as many sales as I had for all of yesterday.
nilis13
·2 years agoI had one sale since Friday, a big $15.00...the decline continues..
hartungcards
·2 years agoSo far at least 4 of your items were found by somebody poking around in the dark. I'm not sure how that qualifies as "No Sale Sunday." And the day is barely half over at this point.
joliztoyco
·2 years agoGuy has OVER 4000 listings.
You really consider a sell-through rate of 0.1 good??
Okay then.
yuzuha
·2 years agoFor what they're selling, which is mostly pre-owned long tail items that need a very specific buyer to come along who wants that particular item? Yes, they're doing remarkably well.
joliztoyco
·2 years agoYour idea of "remarkably well" when it comes to sales on eBay, and mine, are worlds apart.
I'd quit this dumpsterfire with a sell-through rate of 0.1%
yuzuha
·2 years agoIt depends entirely on what you're selling. Long tail items do not and never will have many buyers interested in them. They'll sell eventually, but it may take months or years for that right buyer to come along. One can't list 95% long tail items and expect quick or consistent sales.
As an example, I have an entire box full of promotional pins from various local golf tournaments that I got from my uncle's estate. To the people who are looking for those things, I'm sure it will be like finding the Holy Grail. BUT there probably aren't more than a few people out there who are looking for them, so I don't expect them to sell quickly at all.
hartungcards
·2 years agoWell, okay then yourself, if you consider 6 sales in one day "no sales."
buzzapparel
·2 years agoIt’s pretty remarkable that even eBay offering buyers 10% off hasn’t spurred one sale on any of the luxury items I sell(not on this account this is a posting account) which could have saved buyers up to $100.
In the past three weeks eBay has offered many generous discounts, few of which were used by my buyers. When the discount period ends, those same items seem to sell at least sporadically.
vintagecraze50
·2 years agoI got one big luxury sale from this and I was lucky because I was going to give them a deep discount and THEN oh my God I saw it on the listing. Contacted her and told her and she bought it and I made THE WHOLE AMMOUNT. I THINK i am going to feint!! LOL!
mam98031
·2 years agoAre you a seller that is participating in these coupon offers? I've never done it before, so I'm just asking.
buzzapparel
·2 years agoIn this case, eBay was putting out the coupons. I’ve never seen such a lengthy period of 10% off coupons. The discounts go all the way up to $500 in the case of watches.
mam98031
·2 years agoThe ones I've seen are for specific sellers, not all sellers. I could be wrong of course, as I say I have no experience with this. But if it is for all sellers, then Ebay is funding the coupon value as they can't force us to give a discount.
vintagecraze50
·2 years agoThey seem to put it on for items in the $300 to infinity range.
kensgiftshop
·2 years agoYou sold 3 items today, that's 1 more then I sold here all year.

·2 years agoI'm in the same boat. No sales today on Sunday. Like someone turned the lights off.
