It started happening last night.
Cleared browser history.
Turned laptop on and off.
Then tried a different laptop and couldnt log in BUT the best part of it all was even though I couldnt log in, the landing page showed me all the ebay items I had looked at over the last few days, AGAIN for the sake of clarity, the laptop I was using was STERILE it had NEVER been used to view ANY ebay site and to confirm I did NOT get the text message to my phone to complete login.
Just to lower your workload here is your reply.
We are unable to recreate the problem you are having here, please try a different computer to access your account, use a different browser and check for browser updates.
Case CLOSED
Thank you for contacting ebay.
Now all you have to do is cut and paste this back to me.

·4 months agoA couple of IT sources that I read said that 313 Team (hactivists), the same lot who apparently disrupted Blue Sky, is claiming responsibility. Most of the news, though, is eBay's silence in the face of this, forcing users to have to search for information elsewhere.
ETA: Well, here's a nice bit of equivocation from the mods (nothing at all against the mods - I'm sure they're given directives on communications): "We’re aware that some customers have been experiencing intermittent technical issues since Sunday on parts of the eBay platform." Some and parts?

·4 months ago"Some" and "parts" sounds better than "most" and "the majority." Much like "intermittent" sounds better than "ongoing." You have to choose your words carefully.
I'm just thankful we weren't told that this is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused processing delays.

·4 months agoBecause eBay was down last night, nobody could bid on my auctions before they ended. I typically end my auctions on Sunday nights at 7PM PST because most of the U.S. is online at that time, so there is typically a flurry of bids near the very end. That didn't happen this time, so MANY auctions ending near that time (mine and everyone else's) sold for their starting bid price and no more. I'm not sure what if anything will be done unless I complain, but it would be nice if eBay could proactively offer some kind of perk to sellers that have had that happen to them. All that said, eBay is still the best online auction site there is; sellers get worldwide exposure, there are protections for both buyer and seller, and all users enjoy the ease and convenience of buying and selling from the comfort of their homes. Thanks eBay. I still love you.

·4 months agoOn Sunday afternoon, eBay's site became under attack by hackers with a coordinated DDOS attack that affected eBay's servers. As third-party providers connected to their API, our program was also affected.

·4 months agoYeah, the community forums have been difficult to access for quite a while. I couldn't log in at all yesterday after about 4PM, and this morning even after I got logged in it's been intermittently having other problems like that. Random things on the main eBay site won't load or take a long time too, like Messages or the Seller Level Dashboard (for a couple examples so far).

OP4 months agoTBH my HUMAN instincts (not aritficial non intelligence) say for my own safety it may be wise to set time away until stability returns, well returns to the stabilty levels that say I can send offers to potential buyers on item that have no one watching them!
