Newest outrage.........ad line between description and item specifics........
Sigh........Q4........people are used to things........so this...... on PC, not app
They move Description before IS, insert a line of ads, then show IS.........
I guess a test........hopefully, but bad time and hurts continuity of information to say the least.

I'm seeing it with that first row of ads........left it off the lst pic, but it's there to me.
To me, it's bad as buyers will surely skip the IS, unless they are scrolling down to see ........well, ads..... When I first saw the layout, I thought they killed IS......couldn't find them in all the visuals.

·10 months ago@dhbookds I'd say it's definitely a test - I see it when logged into one account, but not another.
Agree it's not ideal to have ads splitting up the description and item specifics, but interestingly, the test view does end up showing less ads before the description for me - which overall could be positive.
On the account that doesn't have it I see:

A continuous wall of ad modules until the end of the page

So in effect they moved the description up significantly by moving one row of ads and item specifics that used to be above it down.
It still isn't the View Item Page design they promised where the description would appear before any ads, but then again considering that their proposed way of doing that was going to be to show a shortened AI summary with "click to see more" like the app - maybe this isn't so bad after all. 😂
Definitely agree though about undisclosed testing/changes during Q4. 😒

·10 months agoI can't keep track of how they show my items, but you made me look at how mine currently is shown on my desktop.
I have a similar items (sponsored) and another row called Explore related items (sponsored) shown before my IS or description.

·10 months agoI guess it is another reason to put ALL important info in the item description and not rely on item specifics to do anything but affect the search.
Too bad they put those crappy pictures on your listing.
