New w/ Box Nike Air Max 1s NOT triggering eBay authentication…
I’ve never had this happen before. My starting price is over $75. It usually switches to eBay FedEx shipping and adds the authentication parts to the auction. It’s not doing any of it. I’ve stopped my listing and restarted. I deleted and made a whole new one. Is there a glitch in the eBay matrix? Very frustrating.

OP3 weeks agoeBay support and eBay authenticity support with the big W! They figured out the style code was in the title and in the item specifics. Once it was removed from the item specifics it triggered the eBay authenticity badge and shipping.

Note the T&C says "We currently authenticate select items that are in new or pre-owned condition and starting at $75."
"Starting at" means $75 is the minimum it can be, but it can also be higher than that depending on criteria like brand, model, color etc.
I've seen some situations where the exact same shoes just in different colors will have different price points at which authentication kicks in and I've also seen the same shoe have one price point one week and a different one a few weeks later, indicating it's likely being dynamically adjusted based on demand.
Unfortunately that means there's really no way to know ahead of time what price point will qualify - you just have to play around with adjusting the price in the listing form until you see the shipping option change to the pre-paid FedEx one for authentication.

eBay doing that is absolutely RIDICULOUS! I’ve never had this happen before. If I’m listing shoes for almost $200 I expect them to authenticate for the buyer just as I’d want to have that happen if I was the buyer.
I’m also seeing the same shoe with authentication like you said yet mine won’t be. Very frustrating. 🤦🏻♂️
