New Seller
I am a newer seller. This is the first time I've gotten a note from buyer in a yellow box stating. "My check in date is Jan 26th. Can ship soon and they will hold at front desk for awhile. Please send to bell desk or front desk."
Am I supposed to do something different, write a note on top or what?

This is a "no problem" buyer request.
Simply add "Front Desk" if you have available line on the shipping labels or write it on the package.
Their comment "ship soon" is just telling not to delay because they likely will only be at that hotel for a short period of time, they don't want it to arrive AFTER they checkout and they told you that the hotel will hold it for them until they arrive.
You have 12 days but this buyer is likely a visitor to the US and probably has no idea how long shipping normally takes here (and then there are the slow shippers).

·8 months ago@devos-treasures You need to ship as normal. You are not required to honor special requests or anything buyer's ask you to do after the purchase has been made. Definitely do not change the address, and I would not write anything on the label about it being held or whatever the buyer wants you to do. Print the label and ship within your handling time. As long as it gets a delivery scan (which it should), you are fine. Whatever the hotel does with it after it arrives won't be on you. The buyer is responsible for packages once they are delivered, that includes ensuring someone can hold it or receive it if they can't do it themselves.

·8 months agoI get these once a year. I just sent to the address on file. If its the hotel its the hotel. Its their responsibility of getting it once it is delivered.

·8 months agoIt doesn't make much sense that your customer wants you to "ship soon" when they won't be checking into hotel until January 26. If item arrives "too soon" the hotel will probably just put it in the trash and then customer will complain "did not receive item". If this happens, EBAY will force you to refund (purchase price + shipping). This transaction has so many "red flags" you should proceed with caution.
If you want to proceed with this transaction, I would respond to the customer "I will put a write on package "hold package for guest Mr .Blank arriving Jan. 26".

·8 months agoIt sounds like the buyer has already arranged that, but the problem (if any) is that the OP can only ship to the address received with the payment.
It might be worth contacting the buyer to tell them that, and just confirm that the address received with the payment will work as it stands. (You might scribble "Hold at Front Desk" or similar on the label, but don't go changing the address delivery location on-line before printing the label; leave that as you received it from the buyer.)
