You might want to review feedback policy.
Sellers aren't allowed to leave negative comments for buyers!
Those feedbacks you left for some of your buyers do not reflect well on you.

·2 years agoOh, I just had to look.
I have questions. What is "WHAT A P U S S Y CAT URBER" - specifically, an "urber"? Also, the "woman quarters" - is that like hindquarters? Or do I really want to know?
Other feedback seems pleasant.
ETA: Khoros nanny software has a dirty mind - she should stop reading stuff like Fifty Shades.

·2 years agoThe correct way to describe a U.S. .01 coin is Cent and not "Penny" or "Pennie"

·2 years agoI remember Penny character on "Lost in Space" in episodes....
And you actually understood more than me.
I usually don't do charades to understand a posting...but I tried.

·2 years agoHave to confess I'm woefully ignorant about the language in the coin collecting world, but, in US money, aren't a penny and one cent the same thing?
dirk12955
·2 years agoPenny and Cent are absolutely interchangeable. The British used the term Penny and 1/2 Penny for their
copper coins. When the USA got going with their version of Money they used Dollars and Cents. People
have always called the Cents, Pennies because that's what they had always been called previously.
I was just being fussy and **bleep** about the terminology. Our OP, Being an experienced Numismatist,
Should know that coin collectors on eBay search for "Lincoln Cents" And not "Penny" or Pennies"

·2 years agoYour coin knowledge is of value, but it would be a lot easier to read if you did not use a stream of consciousness writing style. Collectors DO like to know provenance and other interesting information and you have this interesting information but trying to get at it is tough.

·2 years agoI don't really understand your concern. I looked at a few of your items and most only have a one sentence description when you can use 2000 characters. How or where are you being limited? Have you tried adding information to your profile?
chapeau-noir
·2 years agoYou have misspelled and incoherent titles and single line descriptions all in caps. I think you have lots of room to write.

Many buyers don’t read 2 sentences of a description.
Most people don’t care how any of us got to this point in our lives.
Our ‘worldly’ freedoms do not matter here as this is eBay’s sandbox. They make the rules. They are allowed to set limits.
Having a 2000+ character description with poor sentence structure, random punctuation, and all caps dialog will turn off the average reader in the first line or two.
As a point, I could not follow what you were saying in your post here.

Okay.
You have as many lines as you want to make your point clear on the Boards.
In Descriptions there is a word limit, but it is around a thousand words.
I've sold stories with fewer words than that.
If you want people to read your work:
Don't use all caps. It is considered shouting and very rude.
Re-read what you have written before posting it.
Then correct the spelling, grammar and punctuation.
When you don't you appear ignorant at best, and scammers feast on the ignorant.
And there is a reason almost every sentence in my post is on a different line. That again makes it easier to read on a screen.
For my clientele of philatelists, there is a well understood jargon. So I can say a stamp is VFNH and the buyer will understand what is meant.
But I can write out Very Fine Never Hinged and the less sophisticated collector will have a bit more knowledge.
Philatelists have the advantage of internationally recognized catalogues and numbering systems, of course, which is not available to other hobbyists.
You can put the jargon in your title, and expand on the jargon in the description.

You must not have a very long memory.
itsjustasprain
·2 years agoA glance through previous posts shows that they are as equally incoherent as this one.
And yes - the irony is that the listing descriptions are not long at all. They are barely one sentence each.
Adding to the confusion is the use of the @ symbol where I think the seller means to use an ampersand (&).

·2 years agoIf you're saying you're not able to put enough characters into your listing for what you want to say, all I can say is learn to be more concise. I hope you're not using all caps either. Whether you like it or not, eBay imposes a limit on your description field that is their choosing, and you can't change it.
