New listing not showing in my ebay active listings
Summary: bmtoys reported an issue with eBay listings not appearing in their active listings page, suspecting 100 to 150 listings are missing. Several other participants, including merchwiz, esg-enterprises, and alderantiques, echoed similar experiences, noting incomplete visibility of newly listed items. Some users expressed frustration over eBay's lack of communication about the glitch, as the platform's status page showed no issues. Participants wondered about potential sales notifications and mentioned waiting for support responses. There was also a discussion about an item missing its expected Authenticity Guarantee. The issue appeared widespread, impacting multiple users at once.
I have listed an item today but it does not show in active listings at my ebay. Item number is 227328541036, it shows when doing a search for it but I don't see it in my active listings. Is this a glitch?

·3 days agoNo wonder my sales are down. C'mon Ebay! You are paid VERY WELL!

·1 week ago · EditedSame thing happening to me. Clearly a glitch. The item is listed but just isn't showing in my shop or active listings. Curious what would happen if it were purchased? Would I even be notified?
I use a crosslister so I have a link to the listing. What's also weird is it is an item that should have been slapped with an Authenticity Guarantee but it doesn't appear to have that. Every other pair that people have listed of this exact model/colorway does. And of course it's one of the few times I actually want it to have the guarantee. Something is up.

·1 week agoUploaded 4 batches of 50 postcards per batch for 200 total and only about 40 are showing as active. I see people have been having issues for the past 3 hours, but yet ebay's operating status pages shows "no issues." Ebay has to be the worst reselling platform for not advising users of problems.

·1 week agoSame exact thing just happened to me, spent 30 minutes putting together a big listing that took a lot and it doesn't show up in active, also doesn't show a draft or anything either. It's not uncommon for the ebay glitch to be where when you submit the listing it gives you an error message and that something went wrong, but in those instances at least it saves a recently updated draft in your drafts, and then you can simply go back and open the draft, and finish off whatever it's missing.

·1 week agoSame here. I created a listing almost an hour ago and it never showed up in my Active listings. Re-created it a few minutes later, same thing.

·1 week agoSame thing happening to me. I just listed 10 items. 3 are actually showing up. No results for the other 7.

·1 week agoSame here, 8 listings today, one is showing. When I search by item number I get no results on the others.
merchwiz
·1 week agosame here, however, 1 listing showed up when I added it from scratch. Tried it again, and it did not work. It's a shame, because I need to go to work now, and I am way behind on adding my new eBay listings

OP5 months agoUpdate:
ebay tech team has fixed the issue.

·5 months agoGlad to hear it.
Thanks for coming back and letting us know.
I still owe you a nickel. 😉
bmtoys
OP5 months agoAnother workaround is since I have a store I can go there and do a search for newest listings and they all show there. This allows you to view and revise the hidden listings if needed but you still have no way to end the listings if they do not show up at seller hub active listings.

If you need to end listings, can you do it from here by clicking See all?

·5 months agoGo to your seller hub.
Click on "active listings".
Fill in the search bar with "John Deere Mulch Tiller" and enter.
I'll bet you a nickel it shows.
Can we get a screen shot of that?
bmtoys
OP5 months agoYou owe me a nickel! lol
inhawaii
·5 months agoThanks for the screenshot.
You have some filters enabled.
One of them is "Listings with Watchers".
If there is no one watching that item, it wont show.
Try "Clear All" filters then re-search.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoI clicked on clear all and didn't work.
inhawaii
·5 months agoOk, looks like a owe you a nickel. 😉
I hope you get it worked out.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoListing count at seller hub shows different then when you click the active listings link. When clicking the active listings link it shows like the screenshot shown above. There should be 1050 listings listed.
There is a thread from 2022 that someone had this same problem. The fix for that person was to revise the listing and then it magically showed up in active listings. But that doesn't work for me.
I installed and used a chrome extension called Flyp and was able to import all my ebay item to that. Flyp shows all my listings so I was able to delete the duplicates using Flyp.
ebay tech is aware of my issues, now its just a waiting game.

·5 months agoMy active listings says 380.
But when you view items for sale, it only shows 336.
OH NO!
I'm missing 44 listings!
inhawaii
·5 months agoYou have an item number.
You can go directly to the listing.
You can search and find the listing.
But the listing is not showing in your seller hub?
Sorry, I'm just not buying it.
No way to prove it either way.

·5 months agoI mean, they posted screenshots.
@bmtoys I'm not sure what might be happening, but I'd suggest posting on the Technical Issues board as well: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Report-eBay-Technical-Issues/bd-p/technicalissues-db
And, from the Active Listings page in the Seller Hub, click the ? button in the bottom right, and choose "Report a technical problem", and describe what's happening. That is usually the best way to make sure the team that is actually responsible for that feature gets the message.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoI was able to get a tech from Instagram and they are supposed to submit to tech support. Since doing this at Instagram should I also do what you suggested?
jonathanbrightlight
·5 months agoYes, I would still submit it the way I suggested, even if it ends up at the same team, you've got a better chance of it being seen one way or the other.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoyes that is correct. see screenshots above.
inhawaii
·5 months agoThen you've encountered a rare glitch that only affects you.
I woud contact ebay immediately.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoDoing an advanced search from ebay.com search and searching by seller only (me). the screenshot shows items I listed about 4 hours ago and none of them are showing in seller hub. That list shows 980 items but again should be around 1050.
jonathanbrightlight
·5 months agoI've notice it taking a while for the Active listings page in the Seller Hub to show our listings after creating them, or for the filters to register changes like adding Best Offer.
@bmtoys Did you try searching for them on the Active Listings page, using the search box? For some reason I've had that pull up listings that didn't show up as the newest ones but that I had just listed minutes before.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoYes for the search. They do not show in seller hub but they do in ebay search. one of the Item numbers is 227328426045 which is Ertl John Deere Mulch Tiller Diecast 1:64, see attached.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoI should have around 1050 items but seller hub shows 998.

·5 months ago@bmtoys have you tried refreshing the page......and/or closing, restarting browser? Sounds like the link may be going to an old page (........errrr my non technical explanation).
bmtoys
OP5 months agoYes I refreshed, cleared cache, deleted cookies, rebooted, all that. Didn't work for both my computer and phone.
inhawaii
·5 months agoIf it has a item number, it's listed.
Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours to show.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoCorrect, they are listed and show in ebay search but they do not show up in my active listing page in seller hub. Some not showing has been several days ago.
mcdougle4248
·5 months ago@bmtoys
You can view the item numbers for the listings that you have listed (or renewed) beginning on May 1st. I am sorry, I don't know how to go back further.
Go to your Seller Hub Overview page and look at the Promotional offers module. Click the number of used listings. A page will open with all the item numbers of listings you started or renewed beginning May 1st. Now, the tedious part will be the comparison to your active listings page. If you use Excel, maybe you can use a spreadsheet to compare?
bmtoys
OP5 months agoI do not have my listings on a spreadsheet so this is very tedious clicking on one at a time. the used listing page only shows item numbers that is it, no dates. They appear to be random so not in order of them being listed. This is so messed up. Its almost like I need to delete my store and start over.
bmtoys
OP5 months ago@lacemaker3 @mcdougle4248 I seen a post you replied to with the same issue. I have found 2 listings of mine in search and revised them and now they show up in my ebay active listings page. The problem I have is I believe there are approximately 100 to 150 listings that are not showing in my active listings. I have over 1000 listings and have no clue to what is supposed to be active and which items are hidden. Any suggestions on how to find all the hidden listings that are not showing up in my active listings page?

·5 months agoThis must be a technical glitch. I too have had the same issue. I ended up creating duplicate listings, but didn't know it until one of them sold. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
bonanza125
·5 months agoYou are dealing with a technical issue. One thought is if you have a similar listing you can revise one of your duplicates to another item you are trying to sell which is similar or just wait til tomorrow morning. The only other thing you can do is request a call back to customer service and have them write up a ticket for someone to review the issue.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoI have several duplicates now. I ended a bunch of listings early this morning. Relisted as "sell similar". Many of those didn't show up several hours later so I listed them again. I can search for them and they show up in search. I just can't delete the duplicates since they do not show up at my ebay active listings page.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoThere may be more than one of this. I listed it again a couple hours ago thinking I must have deleted the first one but it just never showed up. I can't delete the duplicate since it doesn't show up at my ebay active listings. Good grief. Let someone purchase both, why not...what else can go wrong!
bmtoys
OP5 months agoIts been almost 12 hours. The listing is listed I just can't see it at my ebay active listings.
bonanza125
·5 months agoI've listed stuff today and there seems to be a delay from when listed to active so I would give it some time.
bmtoys
OP5 months agoThe way I found that item number is viewing another one of my listings that is similar and the item in question was showing below as one of the similar items. Strange that it is listed, I think, but I don't see it in at active listings.
soh.maryl
·5 months agoIs it the one where the title is "Northing Lights" instead of "Northern Lights"?
bmtoys
OP5 months agoNo, it is a Ertl John Deere tractor. Item number is 227328541036.
bonanza125
·5 months agoI see it so it's active. If you can't see it in your active listing then that's a glitch.
