·2 years agoYou may have ran across a listing they are testing some formats on. They have been doing a lot of that over the past several months.
I still see full screen photos on your listings and on mine.

·2 years agoThe new format is for every listing for me and it's really, really bad. The buttons are huge, you have to click an image to zoom in on parts of larger images instead of just scrolling over them, and if your mouse goes outside of the image you have to click again.
Considering the little feedback box on right specifically asks about the "new layout", either eBay hired an incredibly incompetent front-end designer or the new design rollout got botched somehow.
I'm hoping it's the latter, but the terrible quality of the magnifying glass icon when you hover over an image is unfortunately a solid indicator of both...

·2 years agoWhile I do not see the same thing you do on listings, YES fill out the feedback form. Ebay is using that to help make their decision on what format to make site wide.
For me, I can still click on a sellers pic and get to the larger pics.
What you are seeing is real, but just a test, annoying as it may be. Hopefully it will go away in a few days or week for you.

·2 years agoThat version is my favorite of all the tests. I prefer it over the 'classic' format.
On the gallery pic, do you see the dual-facing-arrow icon in the upper right? Click on that and it will open the pics for you to scroll through and see in better detail (depending, of course, on the size/qualify photo the seller used).

·2 years agoeBay is at it again. Screwing around with the image display / zoom on item detail page.
I have 2 accounts, a buying account and a selling account.
Only my buying account has the new, in page zoom function. IMHO this new Photo ZOOM feature is horrible.
This must be a staggered rollout, since my selling account is still seeing the photo in the old BETTER way.
Once again, the new item display layout (New, not better) is rolling out during the busiest time of the year; Online Holiday Shopping season.
Why does eBay always do this . . . making significant changes during the busiest time of the year?
