New Conditions For Pre-loved Clothing - Ummm Is This a Good Thing?
Starting February 4, 2025, you’ll have three options to pick from: Pre-owned - Excellent, Pre-owned - Good, and Pre-owned - Fair.
Although I like the idea of the different conditions, I think it may cause issues as peoples opinion on what's excellent, good or fair may be different and a buyer may open a case saying that the item(s) does not match the condition.

While you have a good point, remember that this is eBay. A buyer can open a "not as described" claim even if the item is new, never worn, still has tags and is in the original packaging. As soon as that choice is selected from the drop down menu, it becomes whatever the buyer says it is. A buyer is never required to substantiate their claim.

One of those conditions is clear - Excellent is to have no flaws. Sure there will be a level of subjectivity between Good and Fair, but even that should be pretty easy to determine.
When in doubt: under promise and over deliver.
