Negative feedbacks
eBay is very lenient on buyers giving negative feedbacks. Please be more attentive to the communications between seller and buyer before accepting a negative feedback. In some cases the buyers tend to be abusive and do not tell the truth (e.g. although already refunded, buyer still does not admit it). Not a fair set-up.

·3 years agoActually before leaving a remark [I know you have already done this], you should contact Ebay and see if it is removable.
For example if the buyer filed an INR, then it is a removable FB because they aren't allowed to discuss a claim in their FB.
What would have been another point to post in your response was WHEN you gave them the refund. Was it before or after the negative FB?
Keep in mind that some negatives can be removed if they break a rule. Others can't if they don't break a rule such as just stating their opinions.
I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.
Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

If when you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant, type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.

·3 years agoIf the FB is actually abusive or vulgar (the word "thief" is explicitly banned, I believe) you can ask to have the FB removed.
Sometimes the rating will be left but the words removed.
You can also ask the buyer to have the FB removed after making him "whole" but he doesn't have to cooperate or even keep his word.
The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

·3 years agoYou can leave a Response to any feedback, although it is usually not a good idea, since it draws attention to the FB.
The most effective Responses, like the most effective feedback, are calm and professional.
