Negative feedback received
Negative feedback received,
I sold an item with an accurate description, the buyer didn't like the bag, and requested a refund, but I refused a refund based on his personal choice, not because I was at any fault,
Now I receive a negative feedback, the first time in 20 years!!
EBay won't take down a negative feedback because they think he is right! But i have all the evidence I didn't lied and my listing is accurate .

·1 week agoRegardless of whether your description is correct or not, the buyer was not happy with his purchase. And he asked to return it and you refused and told him he was stuck with it and because he didn't like the bag, it was his personal preference. What does that even mean? Of course it's a personal preference for anyone to like or not like something; what else would it be? So your refusal upset or angered him and what do upset or angered buyers do? They leave negatives.
No seller likes to take returns but it goes along with online selling. People buy things from photos; they aren't holding it in their hands, looking at it and touching it like they would if they were buying it from a retail store. It appears your returns are so few and far between (if this is your first neg in 20 years), why would it have hurt you to take care of one customer who doesn't like what he bought? You could have got the item back and sold it to someone else.

Not true - eBay did not remove the feedback because the feedback your buyer left does not violate their feedback policies. It has nothing to do with who is right or who is wrong.

·1 week ago@daisyday777 I don't know what the rules are where you are at, but on Ebay USA, even if you had a No Return Policy, the buyer CAN file a Request for Return for something they perceive as not as described. Now the seller does not have to allow that buyer to actually return the item, but they will then have to refund the buyer and let them keep the item.
IMHO you should have allowed them to return the item. Then you could re-list it and sell it to someone else. I don't think Ebay is going to allow this feedback to be removed. Your only hope is to get the buyer to voluntarily revise their feedback.

·1 week agoNegative feedback is just a buyer's opinion. It is not based on facts. As long as the buyer didn't violate any policy ebay will not remove them
But a lot of sellers make too much of an issue about negatives. If this is your only negative in 20 years, buyers can see that and it won't deter them from buying from you.
If you respond to the negative, do it "politely" and business like. Your response to the negative means more to potential buyers than the actual negative.

·1 week agoMy feedbacks (that I give to sellers) are always factual ... good item, fast shipping, good communication etc.
I wouldn't even bother to reply ... to any feedback, good or bad. I don't need to get the last word in when I'm right 😎
