Nazi Belt Buckles
So......
Looks like Nazi belt buckles are now okay to sell.
It is rather disappointing, considering we just celebrated Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Also Noticed Volume Sellers Can Sell Ammunition Brass While we Can't.
Strange.

·1 year agoThere are more listings but I think it's because ebay is trying to use AI instead of people. Many listings now have web site addresses for you to go buy the items cheaper, I have reported these and every time get the we have reviewed and does not go against ebay rules. Have no idea what you can do.

·1 year ago@tooscurvey Please note that every single listing has a REPORT button. Please use it on items that you find which are breaking the rules.

·1 year agoI reported the first one this afternoon just to see what would happen and eBay took it down 3 hrs later.
Even though the seller covered the swastika on the buckle front, it was still visible on the back side in their last photo.

Have you ever watched the opening scene of the movie "Fury"? Did you know that some of the most prolific collections of Nazi memorabilia are owned by Jews? Most of those selling and buying authentic nazi items are those who understand they are dealing in war trophies representative of the sacrifices our soldiers made to end the Holocaust... which they brought home. They typically have a greater knowledge and respect for those who endured the war and Holocaust than those who get so upset about a historically significant nazi item.
But yes, there are some really dumb people who believe in nazi ideologies, usually poorly educated and thus with lower incomes who will mostly want the new/fake stuff; which makes the ban understandable in some ways. Regardless of what anyone thinks, it's a rule and the items should not be sold and should be reported.

·1 year agoJust report them to eBay and see what happens.
I'm surprised Elon and Donny have not bought them up.

·1 year agoAlso " gott Mit uns" was a phrase used by Germans in WW2. That one is also definitely German. The bird wings give it away.

So apparently if you cover the Nazi Swastika with something it is OK to list it since it is not clear what is under the covering.

·1 year agoI wouldn't call covering the Swastika "clever." It's just an open acknowledgement that the seller knows the item is prohibited.

O I have no doubt that the seller knows the item is prohibited.

·1 year agoIt is not OK to sell Nazi related items but a couple of the item numbers you listed the seller has cleverly covered up the Nazi Swastika with a small piece of cloth and the item has just not been caught or reported yet.
Not sure about the ammunition brass but probably the same situation simply not caught or reported yet. The following are still prohibited on eBay.
