Mystery email about store requirements
Summary: dommiesan expressed concerns about receiving an email from eBay stating that their store did not meet certain requirements, despite maintaining top seller status. dhbookds suggested it may be a phishing attempt, but it was confirmed as legitimate since the message appeared in eBay messages. Other participants shared that there's confusion about the requirements and suggested it could be an ongoing issue within eBay. mam98031 mentioned the potential financial benefits of downgrading the store if fewer than 250 listings are maintained. authentic*vintage noted that a similar issue has been reported widely and is being addressed by eBay.
I've had a basic ebay store since 2009. Nothings changed over the years wxcept within the past year or 2 they've removed all listing caps. I've been top rated for a few years no provlems and no issues in the last 24 or more months.
I got an email today that my store doesn't meet the requirements for my store level (basic), same one we've had since 09. In the email it said "the following store requirements are not being met:", then there is 2 blank lines, that's it. Then it says i have 60 days for a review before they downgrade me! What gives. Nothing has changed and i'm still 100% top seller, like i've been for years!

·3 days agoHere are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT or ask an Agent to call you, in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.
If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.
If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

From this link you can request Ebay to call you in the USA. The option is available when Staff is available to respond, so NOT 24/7/365.

Notice: eBay Store subscription requirements not met
You will see how widespread this is and that on ebay.de there is an open ticket for this issue.

·3 days agoThere are no minimum "requirements" as far as I know.
However it doesn't makes sense if you are enrolled and pay for a higher level store when you fit in a lower level, less expensive store.

·3 days agoIDK anything about the email you received. I had not heard of that before. If you don't mind, would you please post the body of the email, remember to black out any personal info first. That way it may help us better help you.
However I can share with you that if you do NOT carry at least 250 listings on a regular basis, you are wasting your money on a Basic Store. It is costing you more than it is likely saving you.

OP3 days agoNotice: eBay Store subscription requirements not met
Hi XXXXXXX,
We have re-evaluated your eBay Store. Unfortunately, we see some of the minimum requirements for your store level are still not being met.
To continue with your store subscription, we need you to meet the minimum requirements within the next 60 days. If you don’t meet these requirements, your eBay Store subscription will be lowered to the starter store level. If your store level is lowered, your fees will change and all of your Good ‘Til Cancelled listings will renew at the pricing for that level. Also, your bundled subscription discounts, such as Selling Manager Pro, may be affected.
The following store subscription requirements are not being met:
We'll re-evaluate your eBay Store subscription at the end of 60 days.

·3 days ago@dommiesan As I stated before, you are wasting your money on a Basic Store if you do not carry 250+ listings regularly. So downgrade to a Starter Store and save yourself about $25 a month.
As for the above message. There are only two things I can think of. Either the message is a Spoof, OR your account has been sanction or your seller status lowered recently. That can cause issues with a store.

·3 days ago · EditedOne size fits all advice doesn’t work very well for the wide variety of eBay sellers and their needs. There are benefits to a store beyond the number of listings you can place without additional fees. I’ve had stores with far fewer than 250 items where it absolutely made sense to have a store. Understood that for what you sell and how you do it it might not make sense – that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t for anyone else.

·4 days agoI see the Mentor board has had a # of like reports....... they can't figure it out and are trying to get an answer from Ebay on it.

·4 days agoHave no idea on this..........I checked and the only requirement for a store (any level) is to have a seller account.......which you certainly do......

·4 days agoIs the email in your ebay messages ? (I think you mean you got an email in your regular email account.........which could be a phishing attempt....trying to get your sign in/account information).
