My UPS delivery is being held at UPS by request from buyer.
I sold a skate deck. The buyer created their account in February and has a zero feedback. I shipped Dec 7 and it was out for delivery on Dec 14.
One the 14th the buyer requested it be held at the UPS facility. He has not picked it up yet.
Will this get returned to me? Will the buyer get refunded if he does not pick it up? how long will it be held? TIA for any help.

·2 years agoUPS can hold a package for 7 days. Did you find out about the requested hold because the buyer messaged you about it, or did you find out by looking at the tracking number?

·2 years agoExactly. A hold is probably the best thing a buyer can do to make sure that their item gets there safely.

·2 years agoDon't panic just yet buyer may be traveling. If the buyer contacted UPS then UPS probably has a deadline date for pickup or final delivery. If the buyer does not pick the item up by the deadline UPS will likely return the item to you. The buyer cannot get refunded until they file some type of claim, logically an INR, with eBay or their CC company.
If they open an INR respond to it and send a copy of the information you received from UPS regarding the buyers hold request. You should win this case without any problem and the buyer will not be refunded. Be careful of direct messages requesting a refund. NEVER refund the buyer until you have the item back. Once you receive it you have the option to refund the buyer if you wish, I would deduct the shipping costs and any potential fees associate with the order before I issued the buyer a refund.
Not sure how long UPS will hold the package but you can call them and ask.
