My listing was removed as it said it goes against their policy when there are literally hundreds listed just like mine.

I am am trying to sell two black Americana postcards. There are literally hundreds of other postings. I even attached a picture of one that is currently listed andhave found one that has a KKK person on it. Why am I being censored?

·4 days agoAI is not perfect (I think we all know this). Just because someone else flew under the radar doesn't mean it's okay for you to break the rules too.
Several years ago I was pulled over for speeding. I asked the police officer why he pulled me over when several cars were going faster than I was. "I'm only one man" was his reply.
I think you see where I'm going with this.
You can call me names for making this analogy, but it doesn't make it any less valid.

·4 days agoYour items are probably being pulled by AI, whether or not they violate policy. If they are pulled, don't relist them, they will just be pulled again and can get you in trouble; if you lose your account, you will lose more money than you will make selling the postcards. That is not a commentary on eBay policy one way or another, I am just saying you can't win the argument with eBay, it isn't worth even trying.

·4 days agoMy guess is one of your competitors flagged your item to get it removed, I sell jewelry and have my items removed for counterfeit policy violations, yet my items are genuine and I show the makers marks and brand identifiers in the photos. I see many other listings of the same piece of jewelry and some without photos of the makers mark, yet they remain and mine is removed. I appeal but always lose and never get to sell the item on eBay ever again and this happens a couple of times a year, I am sick of it. I take the item to Poshmark or Facebook, and it sells without all the BS I get on eBay.

Why weren't they cited?

What others are saying regarding not to relist is true. We have seen other sellers ignore the warning and paid dearly for it with a permanent seller's ban... never to sell on eBay ever again.
Just don't do it.

Because your postcards violate eBay's restriction regarding such items --
Listings or content that promote, perpetuate or glorify hatred, violence, or discrimination, including on the grounds of race, ethnicity, color, religion, disability, national origin, sex, gender and gender identity or sexual orientation, aren't allowed. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Slurs or epithets of any kind
Slavery items, including reproductions, such as tags, shackles, documents, bills of sale, etc.
Items with racist, anti-Semitic, or otherwise demeaning portrayals, for example through caricatures or other exaggerated features, including figurines, cartoons, housewares, historical advertisements, and golliwogs
Black Americana items that are discriminatory
Confederate battle flag and related items with its image
Historical Holocaust-related and Nazi-related items, including reproductions
Any item that is anti-Semitic or any item from after 1933 that bears a swastika
Media identified as Nazi propaganda
Listings that imply or promote support of, membership in, or funding of a terrorist organization
If you try to list them again, eBay may suspend your account.

·4 days agoBrah... it's not about the other listings that get to stay that are in jeopardy of losing their sellers status, it's about the ones and in this case the two listings that have been FOUND in violation of policy. The account that is linked with those listings are in serious jeopardy of losing their sellers status and that is what everyone responding to this post is concerned about. We are looking at the larger picture here and that is to keep the seller safe and able to continue to sell on this platform.
Isn't that better than arguing the case but losing their sellers status???
BTW you can argue the merits all you want and still suffer the consequences. It's eBays rules and their platform, it is what it is even when it's irraz.

If you think a question has not been answered correctly, answer it. If you think a response is vague or mean, answer with a clear, concise answer that is not mean. Don't complain about other people's responses when the opportunity is there for you to input your comment or advice too. @del.norte.deb
